Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid

Staying at Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid was an absolute delight. The location is perfect—just a short walk from the city center and surrounded by great dining options and attractions. The room was luxurious, the staff were attentive and professional, and every detail felt thoughtfully designed. My only minor concern is that after the recent renovation, the door to the room doesn’t seem to have strong soundproofing—voices from the hallway, rolling luggage, or service carts are clearly audible, especially late at night. It’s a small downside, but honestly, it doesn’t take away from the overall exceptional experience. The hotel’s elegance, comfort, and service far outweigh this one issue. If you’re looking for a refined stay in Madrid, this is definitely a top-tier choice.

Hyatt Centric Gran Via Madrid

Staying at Hyatt Centric Gran Via Madrid was an absolute highlight of my trip to Madrid. The location is unbeatable—right on Gran Vía, the main street, with a shopping mall just across the road and El Corte Inglés just a short walk away. Everything you need for shopping or dining is within easy reach. The room was immaculate, the bed incredibly comfortable, and I loved the complimentary drinks and candies available on the floor—great touch for families. Breakfast was outstanding: a wide variety of options including meats, seafood, multiple coffee choices, assorted cereals, fresh fruits (rotated daily), plenty of vegetables, and even a selection of appetizers. The staff were warm, attentive, and went above and beyond—especially when they handed out little treats for my child before check-out. This hotel truly delivers on comfort, convenience, and hospitality. If you're visiting Madrid, this is a top choice. Highly recommended!

Ocean Drive Madrid

The Ocean Drive Madrid is an excellent choice for travelers looking for comfort and convenience. The room was spotlessly clean, and the size is quite generous compared to other hotels in this area—definitely not something to complain about. Located right in the heart of Madrid, it’s just a 10 to 20-minute walk from major attractions, making sightseeing super easy. Public transport is also nearby, so getting around town is no hassle. While breakfast at the hotel is decent, I’d recommend skipping it and heading to Mercado de San Miguel instead—there’s an amazing variety of local and international food options, though prices are a bit on the higher side. What really stood out was the incredible selection of Chinese restaurants nearby. Whether you’re craving Cantonese, Hunan, Zhejiang cuisine, or even a taste of Jinyun’s famous baked buns, you’ll find it all within walking distance. A real gem for anyone missing home flavors!

Inhala Hotel Garden

We stayed in a triple room at Inhala Hotel Garden, and while one of the beds was converted from a wardrobe—slightly unconventional—it still worked well for three people. The room is interior-facing and not very spacious, but it’s clean, functional, and perfectly comfortable for a short stay. What really stands out is the location—right next to Gran Vía, Madrid’s famous shopping hub. You’re steps away from boutiques, restaurants, and lively streets. Plus, the Saino Domingo metro station is literally outside the door, giving easy access to Line 2 and the rest of the city. Whether you're here for sightseeing or shopping, this hotel offers excellent value and convenience. For a central, budget-friendly base with great transit links, I’d definitely recommend it.

I’ve already decided I’ll be coming back here on my next visit to Madrid!

Thompson Madrid, Part of Hyatt

Staying at Thompson Madrid was an absolute highlight of my trip to Spain. From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming—by far the friendliest hotel team I encountered throughout my entire journey. They chatted with us like old friends, even handed out a welcome drink that turned out to be a cocktail—surprisingly delicious and a nice surprise! The room itself was spacious by European standards, especially the bathroom, which felt more like a luxury suite than a standard hotel room. The amenities were top-notch: high-quality toiletries with a subtle, refreshing scent, and the bar cabinet was stylish and well-designed. We also received a thoughtful welcome gift—a bottle of local olive oil, very authentic. One of the best things? The soundproofing—completely silent from the hallway, so no noise disturbances at all. The only downside is the location: while central and convenient, the area around the hotel can feel chaotic at night. There are lots of tourists mixed with some suspicious characters hanging around narrow alleys, and as someone of Asian descent, I felt noticeably more vulnerable. For safety, I’d strongly recommend taking taxis instead of walking, especially after dark—don’t risk it for a few euros saved. Overall, this hotel delivers exceptional value, stunning design, and outstanding service. A must-stay if you're visiting Madrid.

Four Seasons Hotel Madrid

After a disappointing experience at a hotel in Lisbon, my stay at Four Seasons Hotel Madrid was an absolute reset. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and professional from the moment I arrived—especially the lady who helped me with my luggage. The bellhop even checked in on me mid-way, asking if I needed more water, offering to bring it up himself. That kind of attention to detail made all the difference. Located right in the heart of Madrid, the hotel is perfectly positioned for shopping and sightseeing—just a short walk or quick metro ride away. The ambiance and room quality are exactly what you’d expect from a luxury property, far superior to my previous stay at a certain hotel in Barcelona. Spacious, elegant, and thoughtfully designed—the rooms felt both comfortable and luxurious. Overall, this was a fantastic stay, and I’ll definitely be choosing Four Seasons again when I return to Madrid.

The Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Madrid

The location is unbeatable—everything within walking distance, from shopping districts to theaters and local eateries. The staff went above and beyond; the concierge was incredibly polite, helped with luggage, arranged rides, even gave tips on public transit. The hotel feels brand new, likely renovated from its former life as a Westin—every detail exudes luxury and modern elegance. The grand dome in the lobby is breathtaking, instantly setting the tone for a memorable stay. I made it a daily ritual to visit the fitness center—well-equipped and quiet, perfect for a morning workout. Breakfast was exceptional: a wide variety of options, from fresh pastries to local specialties, catering to every taste. In the evening, the bar was cozy and inviting, ideal for unwinding with a cocktail under soft lighting. This was truly an outstanding experience—effortless comfort, excellent service, and a touch of royal charm. I’d absolutely return without hesitation.

VP Plaza España Design

Staying at this hotel was an absolute delight from start to finish. Located right across from the iconic Plaza España, every sightseeing adventure began just steps away—walking to major attractions, shopping districts, or catching a metro line was incredibly convenient. The atmosphere is modern and welcoming, with a clean, well-thought-out design that makes you feel at home. The staff went above and beyond with their warm, attentive service—always smiling, helpful, and genuinely interested in making your stay special. The room itself is a perfect blend of style and functionality: sleek furnishings, smart lighting, and thoughtful touches throughout. I especially appreciated the complimentary water refill station—no limits, no extra charge—something many hotels in Spain still don’t offer. It’s such a small thing, but it made a big difference. If I’m ever back in Madrid, this will be my first choice without hesitation. A top-tier experience with exceptional value.
