Staying at Kimpton Aluna Resort Tulum exceeded all our expectations. The room was beautifully designed with a perfect blend of modern comfort and local charm—spacious, stylish, and incredibly relaxing. The on-site restaurant truly stood out; every meal was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared with authentic regional ingredients. One minor drawback was the occasional presence of mosquitoes, likely due to the rainy season—but the front desk quickly made it right by providing effective mosquito repellent supplies. Their attention to detail and hospitality made a big difference. Overall, this was an unforgettable experience, and we’d absolutely return without hesitation.

Breakfast was generous and varied, especially the homemade jams and honey harvested on-site—so fresh and delicious! The location is ideal: just a short walk to the main street leading into Tulum, and there’s a supermarket nearby for essentials. Everything you need is within reach, making it super convenient for exploring the area. This place offers such great value and charm—definitely a highlight of our trip, and we’d happily return.

Staying in a ground-floor double room was such a treat—adorable decor, reliable air conditioning, and flat-screen TVs made the space feel cozy and modern. The beds were huge and incredibly comfortable, perfect for a restful night’s sleep. Right outside the door, you’ve got the Collectivo bus stop and the Xoxo shop just steps away. And with so many bars, cafes, and local shops nearby, everything feels super accessible. It’s an unbeatable spot if you’re looking for convenience without sacrificing that authentic Tulum charm.

What stood out most was the incredible value for money; prices are super competitive, especially considering how central the location is. Being right in the heart of Tulum makes exploring the area so easy and convenient. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tulum—it’s a perfect blend of comfort, service, and affordability.
Dreams Tulum Resort & Spa
The resort overall was an excellent experience—beautiful setting, great location, and friendly staff. However, there were a few areas that could use improvement. Several restaurants only opened on a rotating basis, with just two available daily, so we couldn’t try all the dining options. That said, it’s disappointing for a property of this caliber. More concerning was the cleanliness issue near our room—guests from the adjacent unit kept ordering meals, and leftover food was left in the hallway for days. A fork remained on the stairs for four full days with no one picking it up. The poolside snack bar served burgers and light bites for one day but was completely closed for two others while we were at the pool. Instead of service, we found scattered food remnants where birds were feeding, and no staff appeared to clean up. Only late in the afternoon did someone show up to collect the trash—but they didn’t even wipe down the counters or clean the grills. These lapses are hard to overlook for a resort that markets itself as top-tier. Despite these shortcomings, the rest of the stay was fantastic. With tighter operational oversight, this place could easily be flawless.

The value for money is outstanding—this place offers a premium experience without the premium price. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tulum looking for a peaceful yet convenient stay. Would definitely come back.

This hotel is absolutely charming—feels like a peaceful little oasis surrounded by lush greenery. The location is perfect: just a short walk from the ADO bus station and right in the heart of Tulum’s vibrant area, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. My room was thoughtfully equipped with a comfy bed, ample space for luggage, a small table with chairs, a mini kitchenette, a smart TV, reliable hot water, air conditioning, and free filtered water. The manager, Guillermo, went above and beyond—he took time to help me check bus and train schedules, even stored some of my belongings while I visited another city for a few days before returning for my last night in Tulum. I also loved the on-site café; the coffee was rich and aromatic, and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. This place truly stood out for its warmth, convenience, and attention to detail. I’d happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Tulum.

I wouldn't recommend this property. The access code provided for the lockbox didn't work, and when I tried reaching out to the contact person, they never responded. It was only after contacting another representative from the same company that I finally got help. Communication throughout the entire process was poor and frustrating. Additionally, the listing is misleading—advertising proximity to the beach, but in reality, it's quite far away. The unit itself is very small for the price, making it feel overpriced and not worth the money. Overall, a disappointing experience with little value for what you pay.

I highly recommend staying in one of the palapas—they’re spacious, private, and perfect for couples seeking intimacy. Everything about the stay was exceptional: comfortable beds, huge bathrooms with jetted tubs, ample parking, and complimentary bikes to explore the area. But what truly sets this place apart is the staff—their warm, attentive service is second to none. Special thanks to Elíseo, Christian, Felipe, Manuel, and the entire team for making our experience so memorable. They go above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcomed and cared for. The beach is just a 5km drive away, where you can enjoy some of the most popular beach clubs in the area. With its peaceful vibe, incredible hospitality, and unbeatable location, this is 100% worth it. A must-visit for anyone looking for a tranquil yet vibrant retreat in Tulum.
