Free bikes and kayaks let you explore the surrounding rainforest and crystal-clear waters at your own pace, and the cenote adventure tours are unforgettable. While there's only one restaurant nearby (and prices are a bit on the high side), the food quality and setting make it worth it—especially dining by the pool at sunset. Instead of service, we found scattered food remnants where birds were feeding, and no staff appeared to clean up. Only late in the afternoon did someone show up to collect the trash—but they didn’t even wipe down the counters or clean the grills. These lapses are hard to overlook for a resort that markets itself as top-tier. Despite these shortcomings, the rest of the stay was fantastic.
