Staying at Sandton Slippers was an absolute delight! The service was exceptional—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The room was spotlessly clean, quiet, and incredibly relaxing, making it the perfect retreat after a busy day exploring Johannesburg. My host went above and beyond to make me feel at home. Breakfast was a highlight—fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented, enjoyed while watching birds flitting about in the peaceful garden. It felt like a little slice of nature right in the heart of the city. Location is also fantastic—easy access to downtown via public transit, just a short ride away. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending this gem to anyone visiting Johannesburg.
I booked this charming B&B for my friend and me after reading glowing reviews online. From the moment we arrived, Jenny and Bill made us feel right at home—warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. They arranged tours, car rentals, and even gave us rides to nearby shops and public transit, which was such a relief. Our room was spacious, spotless, and well-appointed with a modern kitchenette and bathroom. The property is nestled in a serene garden, making it a peaceful retreat amidst the city. I’m so glad I chose Seven Streams over a chain hotel—it felt much more personal and authentic. If you're visiting Johannesburg, this place is an absolute must-stay. Highly recommended!
The hotel has a slightly vintage decor, but it's well-maintained and feels clean and welcoming throughout. The rooms are spacious—definitely more than average—and the underground parking is a huge plus for convenience and security. Breakfast was exceptional: fresh, abundant, and delicious with a great variety of options. The on-site restaurant stands out too—elegant yet cozy, with thoughtful dishes and friendly service. Even though the style leans classic, the attention to detail and comfort makes it feel modern in spirit. A fantastic choice if you're looking for a reliable, high-quality stay in Sandton.
Fairlawns Boutique Hotel & Spa truly exceeded my expectations. The entire property is thoughtfully designed with attention to detail—elegant style, immaculate cleanliness, lush greenery, and top-notch amenities. The staff went above and beyond with their warm and attentive service. My room was beautifully furnished, spotless, and incredibly comfortable, with a spacious bathroom featuring both a shower and bathtub—perfect for relaxation after a long day. As an Italian traveler, I was especially pleased to find a bidet in the bathroom! The only minor suggestion for improvement: the rooms don’t have European-style electrical outlets, so travelers from Europe may need a travel adapter. Overall, this hotel offers exceptional value, a peaceful atmosphere, and a convenient location just a short ride from downtown Johannesburg. I’d definitely stay here again.
Staying at Seven Villa Hotel & Spa was an absolute delight from start to finish. The service was exceptional—attentive, warm, and genuinely thoughtful. Every detail in the room was beautifully designed, creating a serene and luxurious atmosphere. The food was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly presented, making every meal a highlight of the trip. The location is convenient, just a short ride from downtown Johannesburg, with easy access to local attractions and transport. It’s rare to find such a perfect balance of comfort, elegance, and value. I’d highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone visiting Johannesburg—and I’ll definitely be back.

If you’re looking for a serene, well-located, and genuinely comfortable retreat in Johannesburg, this is it.
Staying at Rivonia One & Only in Johannesburg was an absolute delight. The room was spacious and impeccably clean, with a well-equipped kitchen that made self-catering a breeze—everything from cookware to a full-sized washing machine was available. The staff went above and beyond with their warm, attentive service, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Safety was clearly a top priority—the building has excellent security measures, which gave us peace of mind throughout our stay. Located just minutes from the city center, it’s super convenient for exploring local attractions, whether by public transit or ride-share. This place offers luxury without the stress, and the value is outstanding. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Johannesburg—this is definitely a standout choice.
The Maslow Hotel in Sandton offers an unbeatable location—just steps from the metro and surrounded by great dining and shopping options. The breakfast is simple but delicious, with fresh coffee and warm pastries that set a perfect tone for the day. While the hotel keeps things minimal without frills, it’s clean, quiet, and feels genuinely welcoming. It’s not about luxury extras—it’s about comfort, convenience, and a relaxed vibe. If you’re looking for a no-fuss stay in Johannesburg with excellent value, this place delivers exactly that. A solid choice for both business and leisure travelers.
Staying at Marion Lodge was an absolutely wonderful experience. The rooms were spotless, well-appointed, and incredibly comfortable—perfect for unwinding after a long day. The staff went above and beyond with their professionalism, friendliness, and genuine helpfulness, making every interaction pleasant. My stay at Premier Hotel Quatermain was absolutely spectacular! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and well taken care of. The hotel is perfectly located—just a short walk from major attractions and public transport, making it easy to explore Johannesburg. My room was clean, spacious, and beautifully appointed with modern amenities. What truly stood out was the exceptional service—friendly, professional, and always willing to help. Whether it was recommending local restaurants or assisting with travel tips, every interaction was genuine and thoughtful. The attention to detail and warm hospitality made this trip unforgettable. Burkleigh House is an absolute gem for a relaxing getaway. The garden is beautifully landscaped and offers a peaceful retreat right in the heart of Johannesburg. The hosts, David and his team, went above and beyond—David personally offered to drive us to Mandela Square, waited patiently while we explored, and brought us back safely. Their kindness and attention to detail made our stay truly memorable. This place feels like a hidden sanctuary, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. A perfect blend of comfort, charm, and hospitality.
This was the fifth time during my trip that my flight was delayed on departure. Upon arrival, as usual, two men approached me asking if I needed a taxi. I explained I already had a pre-arranged ride, and they called the driver who confirmed he was on his way. Surprisingly, they then asked for payment for 'helping' me—quite unusual, but it happened. The guesthouse is located a bit outside the airport, within a gated complex. It was quite chilly this time of year, so Felix (the driver) kindly took me to a clothing store to pick up a flannel shirt—huge place, great selection. The property itself is impressive: spacious kitchen, large living area, and a well-sized bathroom. There are two pools and a communal meeting space at the office. Breakfast was homemade—fresh bread, cereal, and beverages—all very satisfying. Felix also arranged my tours, which I could charge directly to my room, making everything super convenient. If you head out from the main road, turn right onto the next major street, then left, go up two roads—you’ll find a gas station, restaurants, and shops nearby, so all essentials are close by. The safari tour I went on was about two hours away, but absolutely worth it—great experience! The heater only reached 30°C, and the fan wasn’t very strong, so the room warmed up slowly, but overall, it didn’t detract from the stay. Great location, friendly staff, and excellent value—highly recommend!
