Juncheng Hotel

The room is located on the opposite side of the elevator, so it’s quiet and peaceful, though the windows aren’t perfectly soundproof—some faint chatter from downstairs could be heard at night. That said, the motorized curtains are a huge plus; just press a button and you’re set. Location-wise, it’s just a short walk to the BRT station, and one stop gets you to the metro system, making travel around Xiamen super convenient. This was my second stay at this hotel, and the experience was just as excellent as the first time. During New Year's period, the hotel was lively with plenty of family-friendly activities that kept the kids entertained. The guest manager, Xiao Luo, went above and beyond—she reached out before check-in to confirm details and checked in regularly during our stay to ensure everything was satisfactory. On checkout day, she even arranged a late departure without hassle, which was incredibly thoughtful. The room itself was spotless and comfortable, with soft bedding that made for a restful night’s sleep. The housekeeping staff were thorough and attentive, leaving no corner untouched. Every team member we interacted with showed genuine warmth and professionalism. From start to finish, the service felt personal and caring. It’s a perfect choice for families or anyone looking for a welcoming, well-run hotel. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to others.

Check-in was a bit stressful at first, but the on-duty manager handled everything with great empathy and professionalism. After a calm conversation, the issue was resolved smoothly—and they even surprised me with afternoon tea, evening entertainment, and a bottle of wine. The next day’s airport transfer was excellent too; driver Andy was friendly, courteous, and helped carry my luggage without being asked. We had a pleasant chat throughout the ride. A few suggestions for improvement: the afternoon tea selection was limited, and the fruit—especially the watermelon—wasn’t very fresh. Dinner options were also quite narrow. The room stayed chilly despite running the heater all night—temperature barely reached 15°C, so adding a heating option would be helpful. Also, breakfast was missing some items, and they weren’t replenished promptly. That said, the overall experience was still positive. The staff responded quickly to feedback, and the views from the room were stunning—especially sunrise in the morning. One small disappointment: no capsule or instant coffee available, which is common even in budget hotels. Adding that would make the stay much more convenient for guests who rely on coffee.

This stay completely exceeded my expectations! The room was spacious and flooded with natural light—waking up to the morning sun felt incredibly peaceful and rejuvenating. Janice, the staff member who assisted with check-in, was warm, professional, and incredibly efficient—no long queues or delays. Dinner at the fourth-floor riverside restaurant was a highlight: the ambiance was serene and romantic, with breathtaking views of the city lights across the water. The cuisine was authentic Fujian-style, beautifully prepared and full of flavor—every dish stood out. Breakfast was equally impressive, offering a wide variety of options from local favorites to international choices. The entire property felt quiet and well-maintained, creating a perfect retreat for relaxation. Whether it’s for a weekend getaway with friends or a peaceful escape, this hotel delivers comfort, charm, and excellent value. I’ll definitely be back.

Marco Polo Xiamen

Staying at Marco Polo Xiamen was an absolute delight from start to finish. The value for money is outstanding—this level of luxury and service for the price is truly impressive. From the moment you walk in, the elegant lobby with live piano music sets a warm, welcoming tone. The staff at the entrance greet guests with genuine politeness, making you feel instantly at home. Check-in was smooth and friendly, with staff who were attentive, efficient, and always smiling. I especially appreciated Wendy—her professionalism and attention to detail made a big difference. The room itself was spotless, well-appointed, and fully equipped with essentials like a fridge, kettle, and hairdryer. Everything felt clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed. After a full day exploring Gulangyu Island, I didn’t even want to leave the hotel—I just wanted to stay longer. This experience exceeded all expectations. If you're visiting Xiamen, this is definitely a top choice. Highly recommend it!
