It felt awkward and a bit dismissive, like they were only willing to acknowledge bookings through their preferred channel. Eventually, they handed over the room without much enthusiasm—definitely not the warm welcome I expected. The bedding was a shocking pink color, which came as a surprise, and upon closer inspection, I noticed burn marks on the duvet cover—clear signs of cigarette damage. This really raised concerns about cleanliness and maintenance. While the room itself wasn’t terrible, the lack of attention to basic hygiene standards, especially with visible stains, significantly impacted my experience. For the price, it’s hard to justify returning, unless you’re left with no other options.

When the TV remote stopped working, they kindly offered to switch us to another room on the 3rd floor. The new room did have a noticeable cigarette smell—definitely not fresh. Still, since they didn’t charge my son anything extra, we decided to stay put. But then, when I opened the mini-fridge to grab a drink, I nearly turned back—I couldn’t believe what I saw. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. We’d just switched rooms less than five minutes prior, and with my husband and son already tired from moving, neither of us wanted to carry bags again. So we made the best of it: cleaned the bathroom sink ourselves, wiped down the fridge, and even brought our own drinks to feel safer. Honestly, this place felt dirtier and more uncomfortable than any hostel I’ve ever stayed in during a trip to Europe decades ago. The cleanliness level was honestly shocking—by far the worst I’ve experienced. The staff were friendly and helpful when it came to reassigning rooms, but that kind gesture didn’t make up for the overall disappointment. I’d actually booked this hotel for my older brother and his kid before, and he never complained—so I thought it must be okay. Now I know better. Definitely not something I’d recommend.
