If you're looking for a quiet, peaceful stay just a short drive from the city center, this hotel is perfect. Nestled in the serene neighborhood of Newlands, it's ideally located near Southern Sun, offering easy access to both urban attractions and a relaxed vibe. The area feels like a hidden gem—peaceful, safe, and full of local charm. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-designed with modern amenities, and the bathrooms are especially impressive—large, stylish, and stocked with high-quality toiletries. It’s clear the staff take pride in guest comfort. Whether you're here for business or leisure, the location strikes the ideal balance between convenience and tranquility. A standout choice for anyone wanting a stress-free, enjoyable stay in Cape Town.
Our group's stay at Savoy Lodge was easily the best hotel experience we've had in South Africa. The property is small but perfectly charming—clean, comfortable, and safe, with spacious rooms that made us feel right at home. The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming, always going the extra mile. High-speed Wi-Fi worked flawlessly throughout our stay, and breakfast was a highlight—freshly prepared to order with excellent quality and great variety. Located in a peaceful neighborhood, it’s still super convenient for exploring all corners of Cape Town. Whether you're here for business or leisure, this place delivers on every level. A true gem.
Staying at Little House Villa was a pleasant experience overall. The location is very convenient, with easy access to downtown via public transit. The room was clean and well-decorated, creating a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. I did have a slight concern about noise affecting nearby guests, but the soundproofing was better than expected—definitely not an issue during my stay. It’s a great spot for travelers looking for comfort and value, and I’d definitely consider returning.
A peaceful and quiet retreat in Cape Town, Selton Guest House offers a serene atmosphere perfect for unwinding. While we didn’t get a chance to swim due to the location being a bit further from the beach, the overall stay was excellent. The property is well-maintained, clean, and very welcoming. It’s also conveniently located for exploring the city—easy access to public transit and nearby attractions. Definitely a great choice if you’re looking for a calm, comfortable base while still being close to everything.
Akamah Estate is located in Cape Town and boasts a stunning setting with beautifully designed buildings and rooms that really showcase its potential. However, during my stay, I was left somewhat disappointed by the current state of the property. While the architecture and views are impressive, essential amenities are missing—there's no comfortable lounge area, no patio furniture, no fridge in the room, and even no hairdryer provided. It's clear this place functions primarily as a wedding venue, which creates challenges for other guests: the atmosphere can feel restricted, and there’s limited privacy or flexibility in shared spaces. The lack of basic comforts makes the experience less enjoyable than it could be. With more investment in guest facilities and better management of non-wedding bookings, Akamah Estate could become a standout destination. As it stands, though, the current offering doesn't match the promise of its beautiful surroundings.
Staying at Karibu Guesthouse was a bit disappointing overall. The biggest downside? No parking available. Since Cape Town's city center is already tight on space and traffic can be hectic, not having a place to park your car made the trip stressful—especially if you're driving in from outside the area. While the location is convenient with lots of restaurants and attractions nearby, it's definitely a drawback for self-drive travelers. The room itself was basic, clean but nothing special, and the staff weren't particularly warm or helpful. For the price, I didn't feel we got much value in return. Unless you're staying without a car and don’t mind limited amenities, I wouldn’t recommend this place. It’s just not worth it for the experience.
Our stay at Nova Constantia Boutique Residence was absolutely exceptional. Located right in the heart of Cape Town, it’s incredibly convenient for exploring the city—everything is within easy reach. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and offer stunning views of the Constantia Mountains. Every detail feels thoughtfully curated, from the modern, roomy bathrooms to the relaxing pool area surrounded by shaded loungers and umbrellas—perfect for unwinding after a day out. Breakfast was a highlight: personalized service with a wide variety of options that catered to every taste. It felt more like a home-cooked meal than a hotel buffet. The atmosphere throughout the property is calm, safe, and genuinely welcoming. The staff went above and beyond—knowledgeable, warm, and always ready to help. We even booked a massage on-site, which was professionally done in a serene setting. Plus, secure indoor parking made our trip stress-free. This isn’t just a place to sleep—it’s a true retreat. If you’re visiting Cape Town, this is one of the top choices for comfort, quality, and genuine hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone who values a memorable, well-run experience.
The staff at Colona Castle Hotel went above and beyond in every way—warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our stay exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a level of hospitality that felt personal and thoughtful. The attention to detail, the friendly smiles, and the seamless service made us feel truly valued. Located just minutes from downtown Cape Town, it’s incredibly convenient for exploring the city. This isn’t just a hotel—it’s an experience. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Cape Town.
The Cellars-Hohenort is an absolute gem in Cape Town. From the moment we arrived, the service stood out—attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming. The hotel is incredibly quiet, making it a perfect retreat for relaxation after exploring the city. Located just steps from several excellent wine farms, it’s ideal for wine lovers who want to enjoy tastings without traveling far. The nearby botanical gardens are a peaceful escape with lush greenery and serene walking paths. Everything about this place feels luxurious yet effortlessly calm. It’s not just a stay—it’s an experience. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cape Town looking for charm, comfort, and a touch of elegance.
This hotel feels like a true oasis in the heart of Cape Town. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with real charm—spotting turtles wandering around added such a unique touch. The pool area is spacious and relaxing, perfect for unwinding after a day exploring. What truly stood out was the staff’s genuine care and attention. Especially grateful to the manager, Wilmo, who personally remembered our breakfast preferences—my husband doesn’t like eggs cooked the usual way, and Wilmo made sure they were prepared just right. That kind of thoughtful service makes all the difference. You can tell everyone here genuinely wants you to have a great stay. It’s not just about comfort—it’s about feeling welcomed and valued. Easy access to the city by public transit, excellent value, and unforgettable hospitality. Definitely coming back.
We stayed at Palm House Boutique Hotel and Spa in November with our family and two young kids, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. From the very beginning, Carolyn went above and beyond to make sure we had all the information and support we needed—her attention to detail set the tone for our entire trip. During our stay, we truly enjoyed the Poolhouse area, especially the heated pool surrounded by lush greenery—perfect for relaxing and letting the kids play safely. The spa was a highlight: luxurious treatments that left us feeling completely refreshed. We dined at both restaurants, and every meal was exceptional. Chef Gregory Henderson crafted a menu full of creativity and storytelling—each dish felt intentional and deeply thought out. Paired with Richard’s outstanding wine selections and the impeccable service from Kenny and Nadine, dinner became a true culinary journey. And let’s not forget the cocktails served by Quinton and Lucas by the pool—refreshing, expertly made, and the perfect way to unwind. Max, Ilze, and their whole team ensured nothing was missing—we never had to ask twice, and any request was handled with warmth and speed. This hotel isn’t just great—it’s exceptional. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you for such a wonderful, memorable stay!
The Alphen Boutique Hotel & Spa in Constantia is a true sanctuary — peaceful, elegant, and beautifully nestled among nature. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Our room was a perfect blend of comfort and style, surrounded by lush greenery and breathtaking mountain views. We loved every detail: the thoughtful welcome treats, the cozy ambiance, and the overall serene vibe. The restaurant, Blanco, was an absolute highlight — incredible food, an impressive wine list, and the freshest oysters I’ve ever tasted. Our server was attentive without being overbearing, which made dining even more enjoyable. My husband, a real coffee enthusiast, said this was the best cup he’s ever had — that’s high praise! Plus, booking directly through the hotel’s website gave us a complimentary spa experience, and it was absolutely worth it. The massage was top-notch, we could choose our treatment, the couples’ room was intimate and relaxing, and the therapists were incredibly professional and caring. This place truly shines in every aspect — warmth, attention to detail, and refined taste. A memorable stay that we’ll definitely return to.
