Staying at Henri's Apartments was an absolute delight! The apartment is spacious, beautifully designed, and perfectly located in the heart of Lagos—within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and attractions. It’s quiet, clean, and thoughtfully furnished with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The rooftop pool and patio were standout features—perfect for relaxing with a drink while enjoying the views. We truly felt at home and had a wonderful time. Highly recommend this gem to anyone visiting Lagos!
Thank you for such an incredible stay! The atmosphere here is absolutely magical—peaceful, charming, and surrounded by natural beauty. The staff went above and beyond with their warm hospitality and attention to detail. Every moment felt special, from the cozy rooms to the thoughtful touches throughout the property. It’s clear that passion and care go into everything. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a genuine, relaxing getaway in Lagos.
We spent four nights at Henri's Apartments in Lagos, Portugal this December (2025), and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The two-bedroom apartment we booked was spacious, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully furnished with everything we needed—especially the fully equipped kitchen and the washer/dryer combo, which made our stay so much more convenient. To our surprise, the on-site basement pool and fitness area were a real bonus, offering a quiet retreat after a day of exploring. George, the property manager, greeted us warmly and made sure we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. He was attentive without being intrusive, and gave us great tips on local spots to check out. The apartment itself was spotless, with comfortable beds, well-maintained furniture, and excellent climate control—each room had its own mini-split for personalized temperature settings, plus in-floor heating that made winter mornings feel genuinely luxurious, especially during showers. The decor struck the perfect balance between modern and cozy, not over-the-top but full of character. With a generous living and dining area, we were able to cook meals, relax, work remotely, and even enjoy movie nights—all without feeling cramped. Location-wise, it’s ideally situated in the heart of old Lagos: walking distance to the beach, boat launches, restaurants, and scenic viewpoints. The on-site parking was worth every euro—it made day trips in and out of town effortless. For three adults staying four nights in December, we paid less than €600—a steal for accommodations this high-end. I’ve spent more on mid-tier hotels in the U.S., and they didn’t come close in comfort or space. Even compared to similar stays in Lisbon and Braga, this apartment offered far superior value. If you’re looking for a family-friendly, easy-to-access, ultra-comfortable rental in Portugal, this is one of the best options we’ve found. Highly recommended.
The location here truly couldn’t be better for a relaxing getaway. Waking up to the sound of waves and a view of the ocean every morning was pure magic—serene, peaceful, and completely free from traffic noise, especially at night. The boardwalk is just a 5-minute walk away, leading straight to seaside restaurants with stunning views. Perfect for dinner with a view. The only minor improvement would be clearer pre-arrival instructions on check-in procedures. That said, the owners are incredibly friendly and always available if you need anything—super responsive and welcoming. Overall, this place offers a beautiful, quiet escape with great charm and genuine hospitality. A standout stay!
Staying at Costa d'Oiro Ambiance Village was a fantastic experience! The suite was spacious and comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchen—perfect for preparing meals on-site, especially great for families or groups. The on-site restaurant offered excellent service and a wide variety of breakfast options—so much to choose from! We dined at the hotel every evening, and the meals were both affordable and delicious. While the daily menu didn’t change much, the consistency in quality and taste made each meal satisfying. The location is convenient, just a short walk from downtown Lagos, and easy access to local attractions. Overall, it’s a well-balanced mix of comfort, value, and hospitality—definitely a place I’d recommend and return to.
This is hands down one of the best stays I've had in Portugal—perfect for travelers who value peace and quiet over bustling all-inclusive resorts. No need to worry about towel management here; every guest has ample space and everything feels thoughtfully arranged. The rooms are spotless, with whisper-quiet air conditioning—a real game-changer. Fresh towels come every two days, and bed linens are changed every five days—consistent, thoughtful service. Breakfast is incredible: a wide variety of fresh options, everything you could want. You can pre-select what you’d like for breakfast the next day and make changes throughout your stay—no food waste at all. Tiago, the hotel manager, is absolutely fantastic—warm, friendly, and always smiling. He went above and beyond, even letting us enjoy breakfast in our room on check-out day, despite it being before regular hours. We rented a car for the entire stay, which was essential since the property isn’t walkable to town, but that’s not a problem—the drive to Lagos city is quick and convenient. Plenty of parking available. The only minor downside is that the pool isn’t heated, and during the first few days, strong winds made the water feel icy—even when the outside temperature was 27°C. Later, with calmer weather, the water warmed up nicely. Overall, this place offers an exceptional balance of comfort, service, and tranquility. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing, well-managed retreat.
This was easily the largest and most spacious hotel I've stayed at in Portugal, and it truly lives up to its reputation. The resort is well-equipped with top-notch amenities throughout—rooms are luxurious, clean, and thoughtfully designed. Staff go above and beyond with warm, genuine hospitality that makes you feel welcome from day one. Parking is completely free and super convenient, which is a big plus for those traveling by car. Right outside the main entrance, there's a direct walking path to the scenic cliffside viewpoint—just a short stroll to enjoy breathtaking coastal views. The dining experience stands out as exceptional; breakfast offers a wide variety of fresh, local options, while dinner features creative, high-quality dishes crafted with care. Everything about this place feels premium without being overpriced. It’s an outstanding value for the quality and comfort offered. If you're looking for a relaxing, well-located retreat with excellent service and scenery, this resort is absolutely worth every penny. I’d happily return.
The Ancora Park - Sunplace Hotels & Resorts is absolutely stunning, with a breathtaking pool and an overall atmosphere that feels luxurious and relaxing. The cleanliness of the rooms was excellent, and the staff were friendly and attentive. However, while lunch was just okay, dinner was a bit disappointing—nothing memorable. The snacks in the room service menu were quite overpriced, which pushed us to eat outside for midday meals. We stayed in a ground-floor room, and there was some noticeable dampness on the walls, which was a minor but noticeable issue. Despite these small drawbacks, the hotel’s beauty, location, and general condition make it a strong choice. With a few improvements in dining quality and better moisture control in the rooms, this would be a top-tier destination.
We stayed six nights at the beginning of April and absolutely loved our experience at this charming apartment. The location is perfect—beach, cliffs, hiking trails, and the heart of Lagos are all within walking distance. The staff were warm and welcoming, offering great local tips and excellent service throughout our stay. The unit we stayed in was on the first floor—slightly more expensive than ground-floor options, but well worth it for the extra privacy and quiet. The apartment itself was spotless and very clean. Plus, there are plenty of free parking spaces right in front of the building, which is a huge plus for travelers with cars. Everything about this place felt just right—relaxing, convenient, and authentic. This is exactly what a dream vacation should be like. We’d definitely come back again!
The apartment is perfectly located—just a short walk from everything you need, making it easy to explore the area without hassle. It’s ideal for travelers who value convenience and want to make the most of their stay. While the unit could use a little refresh in terms of décor and updates, the cleanliness and layout are solid. The space is comfortable and well-organized, offering great value for money. With a few modern touches, this would be an excellent choice for anyone looking for a quiet yet central base in Lagos.
We stayed in one of the cozy bungalows with a small private terrace—don’t expect ultra-modern decor, but honestly, who cares? What truly matters is the warm welcome and spotless cleanliness. The owners and staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they all speak fluent French, making communication easy and pleasant. The rooms were immaculately clean, with fresh linens and towels changed daily—such a nice touch! Located just a 10-minute walk from Lagos town center, it’s quiet and peaceful without being too far from everything. There’s secure on-site parking, which is a big plus. Plus, Intermarché supermarket is only a 5-minute walk away, perfect for grabbing ready-to-eat meals. This place offers amazing value for money. If I ever return to Lagos, this will be my first choice—and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-kept stay.
We absolutely loved our stay at York House! The property is a stunning, classic villa set in a serene garden with a gorgeous pool and plenty of loungers to relax on. The bed struck the perfect balance between firm and soft—ideal for a good night's sleep. Each room came equipped with a mini-fridge, kettle, and basic kitchenware like mugs and glasses, which was super convenient. There’s also an outdoor communal kitchen with appliances and a large table, making it easy to prepare meals or enjoy a relaxed meal outdoors. One small note: we would’ve appreciated having more cutlery on hand, so bringing your own utensils is a good idea. The host was incredibly welcoming and even met us personally in the evening—such a thoughtful touch. The location is unbeatable: right next to the beautiful Meia Praia beach, with a charming 15-minute walk along a scenic wooden pathway. If you prefer not to walk, there’s a bus stop nearby. Overall, this place exceeded all our expectations. We had a wonderful time and would definitely return—highly recommend!
