This was my first stay at a voco hotel, and I have to say it exceeded all my expectations. The dishes were beautifully presented, clearly crafted with care and attention to detail, just like what you'd expect from a luxury hotel. Our servers were incredibly attentive and friendly, making the whole experience feel personal and warm. The minibar was well-stocked with plenty of options: sparkling water, Cha Time tea drinks, and beer—perfect for a relaxed evening. We also received complimentary lounge drink vouchers from the group, which allowed us to enjoy a simple Americano or green tea in the lobby bar. Fresh welcome fruits upon arrival added a nice touch. The only minor downside was that the pool wasn’t open on Wednesday, but overall, the ambiance is modern, clean, and inviting. Located close to downtown, it’s super convenient for getting around—just a short ride to West Lake and the bustling Hulbin pedestrian street. Excellent service, great value, and a memorable stay. Sunday Sunny Resort
This was hands down the best booking of our trip—booked early before prices went up, and the value for money was outstanding. Nestled on San Tai Mountain, the hotel offers a peaceful retreat with fresh air and stunning natural surroundings. The nearest bus stop is at Yu Qian Temple, but we actually preferred walking to Wugui Tan to try the rowboat ride—unfortunately, it was canceled due to weather, but we made up for it by taking a scenic water bus from Guo Zhuang Pier to Hua Gang Guan Yu. The views along the way were absolutely beautiful. After exploring Hua Gang Guan Yu, we returned via the Xiao Lian Qing Feng line from Su Di Pier, which dropped us right at Yu Qian Temple Station—perfect for heading back to the hotel. One small downside: limited food delivery options nearby, but overall, the experience was flawless. This place truly delivers comfort, convenience, and charm.

A quick 5-minute walk gets you to Su Causeway, where early-morning strolls along the lake are almost entirely peaceful—felt like I had the whole West Lake to myself. Nearby is Jingci Temple, and hearing the evening bell ring was oddly calming and grounding. The room was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated with comfy bedding that made me want to stay in all day. The owner even shared some hidden gem local eateries off the beaten path—authentic flavors, great value, absolutely delicious. This place truly elevated my trip to Hangzhou.
