From the moment I walked in, the staff's warm and attentive service stood out—whether it was the front desk, restaurant team, or the housekeeping manager, everyone went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Special thanks to Manager Wang and Housekeeper Xie for their thoughtful touches and prompt responses to any request. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and the room had excellent soundproofing, making for a peaceful night’s sleep. The only minor drawback was the door lock—it felt outdated and didn’t match the hotel’s overall quality. A quick upgrade would make this already fantastic stay perfect. I stayed here while attending a show at Taiyang Palace, and honestly had low expectations for an older property. But I was pleasantly surprised—while the building has seen some years, everything was spotlessly clean and created a wonderfully comfortable atmosphere. The front desk upgraded me to a zero-pressure room at no extra cost, and even offered welcome fruit. I took the leftover fruit and yogurt with me to the high-speed train—so convenient! The breakfast was excellent, fresh, and satisfying. The location is unbeatable: just a two-minute walk to the subway, right across from Xuanwu Lake. Perfect for morning strolls or just soaking in the scenery. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive—truly made the stay special. If I’m back for another show at Taiyang Palace, this will be my first choice again. A great balance of comfort, convenience, and value.

Night Mooring Qinhuai · Taifu Tower Hotel (Nanjing Confucius Temple Old Gate East Branch)

The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of the city yet surprisingly peaceful. Stepping outside, you're greeted by the towering ancient city wall, which is truly breathtaking. What surprised me most was how easy parking was—both inside the courtyard and beneath the wall. Perfect for travelers driving their own car. I originally booked a deluxe king room, but the friendly front desk staff upgraded me to a spacious suite with no hesitation. The room was immaculate, clean, and very comfortable. Huge thanks to the two front desk attendants—they were professional, attentive, and always ready to help. Their recommendations for local attractions and must-try snacks were spot-on and incredibly useful. My travel companions were genuinely amazed that such a comfortable and convenient hotel exists in Nanjing. Definitely coming back here on my next visit.

Every time I visit Nanjing, I make sure to stay at Shangri-La—it’s simply my go-to. This trip was for a friend’s birthday, and we took the chance to explore the stunning maple leaves at Qixia Mountain, golden ginkgo trees by Xuanwu Lake, Yanyue Lake, Stone Elephant Road, and the famous plane tree avenue. Perfect timing, perfect weather, and perfect vibes! The room arranged by Manager Dong was exceptional—comfortable, elegant, and thoughtfully prepared. Dining at Jiangnan Zao was a highlight: the ingredients were fresh and top-notch. The pickled turnip with preserved vegetables was surprisingly delicious, the fish head incredibly fresh, and the sweet-and-sour ribs? Absolutely unforgettable. My friend devoured the stir-fried beef in no time—proof it was a hit! Bonus: guests staying at the hotel can enjoy complimentary room service from Jiangnan Zao—even if you’re not on the waitlist. Plus, the Christmas decorations were beautifully done, adding a magical touch to the entire stay. Honestly, I’m already planning my next visit—Shangri-La truly wins my heart every time.

The Westin Nanjing Xuanwu Lake

I’ve been returning to InterContinental Nanjing every year for the past three years, and this visit was especially memorable—my birthday on November 16th. Upon entering my luxurious lakeside room, I was completely surprised by the towel art shaped into a two-tier birthday cake—it was absolutely magical. Then, just as I was soaking in the moment, the doorbell rang again: another delightful surprise from the housekeeping team with a mini birthday cake and a beautifully crafted card. It’s these little details that show how deeply the hotel values guest experience. The bedding remained as soft and comfortable as ever, and the service was prompt and attentive throughout. Dining options were exceptional—every meal felt like a celebration. This short stay turned out to be one of the most unforgettable birthdays I’ve ever had.
