Staying just one night, but it felt like a perfect escape. The location is fantastic—easy access to downtown by metro, and best of all, no crowds at all. Traveling off-peak truly lets you enjoy the city at your own pace. The service here was exceptional, especially from Alan at reception. He upgraded my room for free upon check-in, and when I mentioned wanting to try the sauna, he not only confirmed we had a private steam room but went the extra mile to arrange it just for me. Turns out the facility is usually only opened when there are guests booking in, so having it reserved exclusively for me was a real surprise—and a wonderful touch. It made the whole experience feel personal and special. Definitely worth every penny, and I’ll be back.

We were initially booked through our tour group, but after experiencing the excellent service and comfort at Chunchen Hotel, we decided to book additional nights directly. The staff, especially a young lady at the front desk, was incredibly friendly and attentive—she even proactively arranged a room facing the quiet courtyard, knowing we were concerned about sleep quality. The room itself was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with modern amenities. The hotel’s overall ambiance is calm and welcoming, located just steps away from Kunming Railway Station and Wanda Plaza, making it super convenient for exploring the city. Breakfast can get busy in the morning, so splitting the dining area into two smaller sections would help reduce crowding. Overall, this place exceeded our expectations—great value, top-notch service, and a peaceful stay. We’ll definitely be returning.

The bed was outstanding—comfortable mattress and plush pillows made for a truly restful night's sleep. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the toiletries: the shampoo had a fresh scent and didn’t dry out my hair, and the toothbrush was surprisingly effective—better than what I usually bring from home! I actually didn’t need to pack any travel toiletries this time. Breakfast was a highlight too—wide variety of options with both local and Western-style dishes, all freshly prepared and delicious.
