After being disappointed with a luxury city centre apartment upon our arrival in Manchester (long story short), we ended up booking last-minute at Premier Inn Manchester Central — and honestly, we should’ve just gone with this hotel from the start. The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming, and when we mentioned our situation and that it was my birthday, they went above and beyond. After dinner, I returned to my room to find a birthday card, a bottle of wine, and some chocolates — absolutely heartwarming. Huge thanks to Aaisha for arranging that special touch. We booked two double rooms on the 7th floor, and the air conditioning was a lifesaver on a warm day. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained. Even though this was our first stay at this property, it already feels like a favourite. Premier Inn has once again proven why it’s a go-to choice — reliable, friendly, and genuinely thoughtful. Can’t wait to come back.

He chatted warmly with my wife and both our kids, making us feel genuinely welcome like family. The next morning, we stopped by breakfast, and there he was again—friendly, attentive, and thoughtful. As soon as he heard we were vegan, he immediately asked how many sausages and bacon we’d need (even though we don’t eat them!), showing real care. My son mentioned it was his birthday, and without hesitation, Paulo surprised him with a beautiful drawing set. That small gesture made the whole trip unforgettable. It’s clear that staff like Paulo are what make a hotel truly special. His kindness, professionalism, and genuine warmth turned a good stay into something extraordinary. Staying at Mitre Hotel Manchester City Centre was a great experience. Located right across from Manchester Cathedral in a pedestrian-only zone, taxis can only reach the back lane, but that didn’t affect my convenience much. The hotel is just steps away from Arndale Centre, so shopping is super easy. I booked a single ensuite room—small but spotlessly clean. No elevator, and I was on the second floor, but the staff were incredibly helpful with my large suitcase. The layout of the rooms felt a bit maze-like, which made navigation a little tricky at first. Breakfast was outstanding—huge variety, buffet-style with the option to order cooked breakfast. It was very reasonably priced and offered excellent value. There’s also a bar serving meals, and they occasionally host entertainment on certain nights. Overall, this place is a hidden gem in the heart of Manchester.

No worries though; the hotel quickly offered us another room, which was fantastic: crisp white bedding, a spacious wet room, and a nice grey carpet that added a touch of modern elegance. The only minor note is that the room was right off the reception area, so there was some noise when we first went to bed—though this came from other guests, not the hotel itself. Breakfast was outstanding—plentiful and delicious! We had two sausages, two eggs, black pudding, a hash brown, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, plus toast. The only slightly odd thing was that tea and coffee weren’t included in the breakfast and had to be paid extra. Still, considering everything else, the value for money was excellent. I’d definitely stay here again. One small suggestion: some corridor carpets could use replacing, but since I only experienced the rooms I was assigned, I can only speak from my own perspective. Overall, a very pleasant and well-run place.

If this continues, I’d even consider gathering other affected guests outside the property to raise awareness. This kind of behaviour is unacceptable, especially when it comes to trust and transparency. Don’t let your hard-earned money disappear like mine did. Save yourself the stress and avoid this place entirely.
