We stayed at Royal Hotel Saigon for three nights and had a mixed experience. Check-in was quick and even arrived earlier than the scheduled time—no waiting at all. There were two windows in the room, but both were covered with opaque film, so we couldn’t see outside or even tell if it was daytime or night, sunny or rainy. The soundproofing was terrible—the hallway conversations and footsteps were clearly audible throughout the night, which disrupted our rest. Also, the shower faucet dripped when turned on, indicating a maintenance issue. Even though I didn’t mention my birthday during check-in, the staff somehow noticed and quietly arranged a small cake to be delivered to my room.
