Dining at Jiangnan Zao was a highlight: the ingredients were fresh and top-notch. The pickled turnip with preserved vegetables was surprisingly delicious, the fish head incredibly fresh, and the sweet-and-sour ribs? Absolutely unforgettable. My friend devoured the stir-fried beef in no time—proof it was a hit! Bonus: guests staying at the hotel can enjoy complimentary room service from Jiangnan Zao—even if you’re not on the waitlist. Plus, the Christmas decorations were beautifully done, adding a magical touch to the entire stay. Honestly, I’m already planning my next visit—Shangri-La truly wins my heart every time.

From the moment I checked in, the front desk staff offered a room upgrade—according to them, five levels up, straight to the top-tier room. And honestly, it totally lived up to the hype 🤣. The moment I stepped into the room, I knew this was special. Every little detail screamed thoughtfulness and comfort. ✨ There’s a dedicated vanity area with a full-length mirror—something every woman will appreciate when getting ready. No more rushing to the bathroom for a quick touch-up! ✨ The bathroom is spacious enough for someone 1.8m tall to stretch out in the bathtub. Even better—they provided disposable bath bags so you can enjoy a relaxing soak without worrying about hygiene. ✨ The heated towel rail is a game-changer. I tossed in a few small clothes after a shower, and by morning, they were completely dry. The robe was luxuriously soft too. ✨ The room itself is generously sized, and the fridge isn’t just for show—there are drinks inside that I actually drank (and enjoyed!). The sofa is incredibly comfy; I spent a whole morning lounging there soaking in the sunlight. ✨ They even included two pairs of earplugs—perfect for blocking out noise and ensuring a peaceful night’s sleep. That kind of care really stands out. Only minor note: the tissue box count was a bit low—only one near the balcony-side bed. When washing up or applying makeup, I had to walk across the room to grab one. It’d be great if another tissue holder could be placed on the other side of the room for convenience. I've stayed here multiple times whenever I visit Nanjing, and it's always my top choice. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Xintiandi, just a short walk from the subway station, and free parking is a huge plus. This time, I came to Nanjing with my baby for medical appointments, and the hotel went above and beyond to make things easier. They arranged two adjacent rooms, which made managing our little one so much more convenient. In room 02, there’s a long sofa bed that can be easily moved into position as a safety barrier—perfect for keeping the baby safe while still having space to relax. They even provided a projector, which was great since I wanted to avoid bright lights affecting my baby’s eyes during sleep. The mattress is zero-gravity foam—truly the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. Cleanliness is excellent, and the food delivery coverage is extensive, making dining in super easy. Staff are attentive, friendly, and genuinely caring throughout the entire stay. It’s clear they prioritize guest comfort, especially families.
