Staying at Hotel Excelsior Venice for three nights was an absolute delight. When we checked in, we requested a twin-bed room instead of the double bed we were initially assigned—although it caused a slight delay with dinner, the manager personally escorted us to the restaurant and even treated us to free drinks and a salad while we waited. That level of service is rare and truly appreciated. The room was cleaned promptly every day, and they even turned down the beds at night—such thoughtful touches. Breakfast was abundant and delicious, and dinner was excellent, especially with a glass of wine by the sea. The pool maintains a perfect temperature, and the sea water is warm enough to swim in—great for families with kids who also loved the on-site playground. Best of all, the hotel offers free shuttle boats to the main island every 30 minutes, running until 11 PM—perfect for exploring without worrying about transport. This place is highly convenient, well-maintained, and full of charm. I’ll definitely be coming back here next time I visit Venice.

Then, the senior manager pulled out a hand-drawn map of Venice and personally pointed out must-visit spots with genuine passion. The room itself was cozy and quiet, with a direct view of the lagoon—just open the door and you’re greeted by serene sea views. Breakfast was delicious, and stepping outside afterward felt like having the whole waterfront to myself.
