Staying at Hotel the Designers Dongdaemun was an absolute highlight of my trip to Seoul! The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the city, with countless restaurants and shops just a short walk away. I could easily reach major attractions like Myeongdong and Dongdaemun Market without needing any transit. Despite being central, the area feels surprisingly quiet and peaceful, making it easy to unwind after a busy day. The room itself was spacious, spotlessly clean, and well-equipped with modern amenities—air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, and free Wi-Fi all worked perfectly. The bed was incredibly comfortable, perfect for a restful night’s sleep. The only minor downside was the window’s soundproofing; on rare occasions, I could hear some street noise, but it didn’t really disturb me. What truly stood out was the staff—friendly, efficient, and genuinely helpful. They made check-in smooth and even gave great local tips that enhanced my experience. Overall, the price felt very fair considering the prime location, quality of service, and comfort. If I ever return to Seoul, this hotel will definitely be my first choice.

There’s a fridge, a desk with a computer, and everything you’d need for both work and comfort. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly—answered every question with a smile and even offered free coffee and sweets. It felt like a home away from home. With such a great location, excellent service, and top-notch amenities, this place truly deserves every point—it’s a standout gem in Seoul.

The only minor downside was being asked to check out by 11:00 AM, even though the checkout time listed was 12:00 PM. It felt a bit rushed, especially if you had a late morning plan. The hotel is excellent overall—great location, super convenient for getting around Seoul, and the staff are very friendly. My only confusion was that I booked a two-night stay, but I had to check out on the second day and couldn’t recheck in until after 6 PM. That timing restriction felt a bit odd and wasn’t clearly explained upfront. Still, the team handled it well, and even though I had to move my luggage, it didn’t ruin the experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and the value for money was strong. Definitely would stay here again.

Checked in late at night, but the front desk staff were still very attentive and made the process super smooth. The team was friendly and even upgraded our room without any hassle—definitely a pleasant surprise. We appreciated the small touches like individually packaged skincare items, which felt thoughtful and added to the overall comfort. While it has a motel-like vibe with its compact layout, the attention to detail, cleanliness, and service quality make it feel much more premium. It’s definitely not your average budget stay—great value for the price, and I’d happily book again if I’m back in Seoul.

Just a 1-minute walk from Exit 8 of Dongdaemun History & Cultural Park, this hotel is perfect for shopping and exploring the area. The place was incredibly clean and well-maintained, giving a very welcoming vibe. The bathtub was spacious and so relaxing—perfect for unwinding after a long day of sightseeing. I’d definitely stay here again when visiting Seoul. Great value and comfort in one!

The first room had a strong smell of smoke, which was quite unpleasant, so I asked to be moved. The staff were very kind and promptly arranged a new room without any hassle. However, the second room wasn’t much better—the bathroom felt a bit dark and slightly unsettling, and the overall facilities were just average. That said, the price is definitely affordable, making it a solid choice if you're on a budget. It’s perfect for students or travelers looking for a no-frills stay with good value. While not luxurious, it gets the job done, especially considering the cost.
