The lobby is on the 14th floor—not ground level—so make sure to double-check your floor when you arrive; it’s clearly marked, so no worries. The elevators are spacious and move quickly, making transport between floors effortless, even with luggage. Rooms are spotless, well-maintained, and surprisingly comfortable, with a peaceful atmosphere perfect for a good night’s sleep. Staff members are friendly, helpful, and always smiling—truly a highlight of the stay. One of the best features? A small CU convenience store right on the 14th floor, stocked with snacks, drinks, toiletries, and essentials. This is incredibly convenient for international travelers who want to grab something without leaving the building. Overall, the experience was excellent—great location, clean rooms, superb service, and thoughtful amenities. I’d definitely stay here again when visiting Seoul.

Inside the hotel, everything is well-maintained: the front desk staff are friendly and helpful, and the room itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable with excellent attention to detail. Housekeeping clearly takes pride in their work—every time I returned to my room, it felt freshly tidied up. With such a great location, reliable service, and a welcoming atmosphere, I’ll definitely be choosing this hotel again on my next trip to Seoul.

Staying at Nine Tree by Parnas Seoul Dongdaemun was a fantastic experience! The room is compact but perfectly functional—fitting a 24-inch and 29-inch suitcase with ease. I loved the variety of pillow options and the mattress had just the right firmness for a restful night's sleep. Hot water in the shower was strong and consistent, which made my morning routine stress-free. Location-wise, it’s super convenient—close to Olive Young, MIMILine, Egg Drop, and SPAREX Sauna, plus a short walk to Namsan Park, perfect for families with kids. While it’s not as lively as Myeongdong, all my favorite shops are within easy reach. Getting to Myeongdong is quick via Subway Line 2, and taxis are affordable too. For a comfortable stay with great value, this hotel is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!
IBC Hotel Dongdaemun
I'm back for my second stay at IBC Hotel Dongdaemun, and it was just as fantastic as the first time. I chose the twin room again—perfect for solo travel with plenty of space and comfort. The location is unbeatable: a convenience store right downstairs, and the subway station is only a 5-minute walk away, making it super easy to explore Seoul. The front desk staff were warm and welcoming, and I really appreciated the thoughtful touch from housekeeping—they left fresh towels and bottled water by the door since I had the 'Do Not Disturb' sign up. No interruptions, yet everything was taken care of. This hotel consistently delivers excellent value and service. Definitely coming back!
Mangrove Dongdaemun
I stayed at this Mangrove hotel in Seoul after visiting the one in Jeju, and I have to say the location is unbeatable. Right across from the airport bus stop, it's just a quick walk from Dongdaemun History & Culture Station Exit 4—accessible via elevator, which is great for luggage. Exit 1 leads straight to DDP, while Exits 11 and 12 connect directly to Dundun Mall, where you'll find big names like Daiso, North Face, and Uniqlo—all within walking distance. The bunk bed room is slightly smaller than I expected; if you lay out large suitcases, movement gets tight, but everything fits when packed neatly. The bathroom isn’t separated into wet and dry zones—the showerhead shares space with the sink, so it’s a bit cramped. There is a small fridge available with an ice tray, though you need to freeze water in advance to make ice. It’s a bit disappointing compared to the Jeju branch, as there’s no coffee machine or built-in ice maker. Honestly, every time I visit Seoul, I feel like there’s never enough time—I barely even got to use the hotel amenities! Next trip, I’m definitely staying longer to make the most of it.

Staying at OYO Hostel Dongdaemun 1 was a delightful experience. The location is incredibly convenient—nestled in a quiet alley just steps away from the subway entrance, making it easy to explore Seoul’s main attractions. The atmosphere throughout the hostel is warm and welcoming, especially on the 5th floor where breakfast is served with soft background music. The heating system works well during winter, keeping the rooms cozy and comfortable. While there are no disposable toiletries (like toothbrushes), they do provide towels, which is thoughtful. Be aware that there’s no elevator—so if you’re not up for climbing stairs, request a lower-floor room. Noise levels are decent; even though soundproofing isn’t perfect, there’s minimal disturbance at night. One of my favorite moments? Sipping coffee on the 5th floor during a snowfall, listening to music, chatting with friends, and watching the city turn white—it felt like a scene from a movie. The front desk staff speaks excellent English, but service hours are limited to 8 AM–10 PM. For other times, you’ll need to use alternative communication methods. Overall, this place offers great value, friendly vibes, and a unique charm. A solid choice for travelers looking for comfort and convenience in central Seoul.

The hotel is excellent overall—great location, super convenient for getting around Seoul, and the staff are very friendly. My only confusion was that I booked a two-night stay, but I had to check out on the second day and couldn’t recheck in until after 6 PM. That timing restriction felt a bit odd and wasn’t clearly explained upfront. Still, the team handled it well, and even though I had to move my luggage, it didn’t ruin the experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and the value for money was strong. Definitely would stay here again.

I’d definitely stay here again when visiting Seoul. Great value and comfort in one!

The first room had a strong smell of smoke, which was quite unpleasant, so I asked to be moved. The staff were very kind and promptly arranged a new room without any hassle. That said, the price is definitely affordable, making it a solid choice if you're on a budget. It’s perfect for students or travelers looking for a no-frills stay with good value. While not luxurious, it gets the job done, especially considering the cost.
