The Shilla Seoul
The Shilla Seoul is an exceptional choice for a stay in Seoul. While the room size is on the smaller side and the front desk staff seemed a bit reserved upon check-in without offering much guidance, the service truly shines during your stay. For instance, after buying snacks from the convenience store near the entrance around 9:30 PM, the shuttle driver kindly offered to deliver them straight to our room—something we hadn’t known about since it wasn’t mentioned at reception. That small gesture made a big difference. And don’t miss the hotel’s ground-floor bakery—it’s widely regarded as Seoul’s top French pastry shop. The pastries are rich, delicate, and absolutely worth a visit. Despite minor initial impressions, the attention to detail and thoughtful touches throughout the stay make this hotel stand out. Highly recommend for both comfort and convenience.

We stayed with a group of four, and the room was just right—perfectly sized for our needs. The amenities were excellent: two bathrooms, two queen beds, and two twin beds, so everyone had their own space. The kitchen was fully equipped with a fridge, washing machine, and even a vintage vinyl record player—such a fun touch! The rooftop view is unbeatable, offering stunning panoramic views of Seoul’s city lights at night. It's truly magical. The only downside is that the hotel is located on a hill, which makes getting around a bit tricky—taxis can be hard to catch—but the host was incredibly helpful and arranged one for us without any hassle. Plus, they speak fluent Chinese, which made communication super easy. Overall, this place offers an amazing experience with great value. Definitely worth staying again!

The hotel is excellent overall—great location, super convenient for getting around Seoul, and the staff are very friendly. My only confusion was that I booked a two-night stay, but I had to check out on the second day and couldn’t recheck in until after 6 PM. That timing restriction felt a bit odd and wasn’t clearly explained upfront. Still, the team handled it well, and even though I had to move my luggage, it didn’t ruin the experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and the value for money was strong. Definitely would stay here again.

Staying at Seoul Forest Stay Guesthouse was an absolute delight! The host was incredibly friendly and spoke fluent English, Korean, and even basic Chinese—making communication so easy. He personally showed me around the guesthouse with great care, explaining all the amenities and local tips. The single room is compact but spotlessly clean, with everything you’d need: toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, a desk lamp, hairdryer, heater, air conditioning, and even toilet paper. Common areas provide towels for guests to use—very thoughtful. Located just steps away from Seoul Forest Park, it’s peaceful and quiet yet still super convenient for getting into downtown via subway. The value-for-money factor is outstanding. I’ll definitely be back!

Staying at Sungshin Women's University Brown Dot Hotel was an absolutely delightful experience. I loved how central the location was; right next to a bustling shopping district with plenty of dining and entertainment options within walking distance. Public transit access is excellent, making it easy to explore Seoul’s main attractions without hassle. The staff were friendly and attentive, offering helpful tips during check-in. It’s clear they care about guest comfort. With such a great balance of cleanliness, convenience, and hospitality, this hotel offers exceptional value. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Seoul.

The owner was incredibly friendly and attentive; when I mentioned a noisy exhaust fan in the bathroom on day two, they fixed it the same day with zero hassle. What truly made this place special were the three adorable cats—they’d wander around the second floor, especially one who loved hanging out by the water fountain near my door each evening, peeking in with curious eyes. So sweet! The location is fantastic—just a short walk from the subway station, making exploring Seoul super easy. With its charm, great service, and welcoming vibe, I’d absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique, authentic stay in Seoul.
Cobe Guesthouse Dongdaemun
I was really impressed with Cobe Guesthouse Dongdaemun—clean bathroom, tidy room overall, and a great value for the price. The only thing I’d suggest is a more thorough cleaning under the bed. Unfortunately, there were no curtains at the window, so bright morning sunlight made it hard to sleep—I ended up covering it with my own towel! Also, I accidentally left behind a water bottle at checkout—would you mind disposing of it? Despite the early check-out time (before 11 AM), which made me wish I could stay longer, I’m already planning to return this December or early next year. It’s definitely one of the best stays I’ve had in Seoul, and I’ll be booking again without hesitation.

The team was friendly and even upgraded our room without any hassle—definitely a pleasant surprise. We appreciated the small touches like individually packaged skincare items, which felt thoughtful and added to the overall comfort. While it has a motel-like vibe with its compact layout, the attention to detail, cleanliness, and service quality make it feel much more premium. It’s definitely not your average budget stay—great value for the price, and I’d happily book again if I’m back in Seoul.

Just a 1-minute walk from Exit 8 of Dongdaemun History & Cultural Park, this hotel is perfect for shopping and exploring the area. The place was incredibly clean and well-maintained, giving a very welcoming vibe. The bathtub was spacious and so relaxing—perfect for unwinding after a long day of sightseeing. I’d definitely stay here again when visiting Seoul. Great value and comfort in one!

The first room had a strong smell of smoke, which was quite unpleasant, so I asked to be moved. The staff were very kind and promptly arranged a new room without any hassle. However, the second room wasn’t much better—the bathroom felt a bit dark and slightly unsettling, and the overall facilities were just average. That said, the price is definitely affordable, making it a solid choice if you're on a budget. It’s perfect for students or travelers looking for a no-frills stay with good value. While not luxurious, it gets the job done, especially considering the cost.
