Travelodge Dongdaemun Seoul
We had a bit of a nightmare with our original booking—self-check-in didn’t work out, and we were scrambling around midnight. Thankfully, we found this hotel nearby, and to our relief, the front desk was still open past 1 AM. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful or welcoming. The room was small but perfectly functional—everything you’d need: comfy bed, reliable Wi-Fi, mini-fridge, and good AC. It’s super well-located near Dongdaemun, just a short walk to subway stations and shopping areas. We were impressed by how clean and well-maintained it felt for the price. If you’re in Seoul and need a last-minute spot with great service and convenience, this is definitely worth considering. Highly recommend!

Plus, the hotel lobby has a Wow Pass machine where you can deposit money or withdraw cash anytime—super convenient. Everything about this stay felt thoughtful and well-organized. I'm back for my second stay at IBC Hotel Dongdaemun, and it was just as fantastic as the first time. I chose the twin room again—perfect for solo travel with plenty of space and comfort. The location is unbeatable: a convenience store right downstairs, and the subway station is only a 5-minute walk away, making it super easy to explore Seoul. The front desk staff were warm and welcoming, and I really appreciated the thoughtful touch from housekeeping—they left fresh towels and bottled water by the door since I had the 'Do Not Disturb' sign up. No interruptions, yet everything was taken care of. This hotel consistently delivers excellent value and service. Definitely coming back!

The hotel itself is spotless, well-maintained, and offers excellent amenities. What really stood out? The bathroom features a built-in massage bathtub—a real luxury after a long day of exploring. It made my stay so much more relaxing and enjoyable. Clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, this place delivers incredible value. I’d definitely book again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Seoul.
Mangrove Sinseol
I stayed at Mangrove Sinseol Hotel for a few days and was really impressed. The location is perfect—right next to the subway station, just a 15-minute ride to Seongsu and about 30 minutes to Hongdae. The airport bus 6002 stops right outside, making travel super convenient. There are plenty of nearby convenience stores like 7-Eleven, CU, OY, Mega, and Mammoth—no long lines even during peak hours. The building has a secure entry with a password lock, and the elevator requires your room keycard, which adds peace of mind. The shared kitchen is clean and well-maintained, and the rooftop terrace offers a great view—perfect for relaxing in the evening. Check-in and check-out are fully self-service, and the machine supports Simplified Chinese, which is a big plus for introverted travelers. The bathroom is on the smaller side, and housekeeping comes every six days, but that’s not an issue if you’re staying just a few days. Overall, it’s a quiet, safe, and well-designed place with excellent value. Highly recommend for solo travelers.
New Chonji Hotel
Absolutely perfect – one of the best values I've experienced in Seoul! I’d definitely come back again. The location is unbeatable: right next to Subway Line 2, the main artery of the city’s transit network, making it easy to reach almost any destination. Just across the street is Dongdaemun Market, and it's only two stops to Myeongdong – home to Lotte Duty Free and tons of great shops and eats. The Airport Bus 6001 stops right at the hotel, just a 5-minute walk away – no stress with transfers. Convenience stores are everywhere nearby, and the staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. There’s a friendly guy on staff who speaks Chinese, which made things so much easier, especially for luggage storage. Even though it’s not on a busy road, there’s a police station right at the corner – and I actually saw officers patrolling in their car late at night. That kind of security really adds peace of mind. If you want comfort, convenience, and a safe, welcoming stay in Seoul, this place is a must-try.

This place exceeded all my expectations! Located right across from Dongdaemun DDP, it’s just a short walk to APM Place—perfect for shopping, dining, and hopping on the subway. Even though there’s no elevator, the staff was incredibly helpful with carrying luggage upstairs—no stress at all. The room is totally pink-themed and super spacious; two 26-inch suitcases can be fully opened without any hassle. What really stood out was the thoughtful touches: power adapters, USB outlets, and even a water dispenser right outside the room. The host provided contact info in advance and responded instantly to any questions—great communication. There’s a washing machine for laundry and a balcony to dry clothes, plus you can store your luggage before check-in. Everything is well-organized and super convenient. With such a great location, friendly service, and smart amenities, this is definitely a top pick. I’ll absolutely book again next time I’m in Seoul!

The hotel is excellent overall—great location, super convenient for getting around Seoul, and the staff are very friendly. My only confusion was that I booked a two-night stay, but I had to check out on the second day and couldn’t recheck in until after 6 PM. That timing restriction felt a bit odd and wasn’t clearly explained upfront. Still, the team handled it well, and even though I had to move my luggage, it didn’t ruin the experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and the value for money was strong. Definitely would stay here again.

Checked in late at night, but the front desk staff were still very attentive and made the process super smooth. The team was friendly and even upgraded our room without any hassle—definitely a pleasant surprise. We appreciated the small touches like individually packaged skincare items, which felt thoughtful and added to the overall comfort. While it has a motel-like vibe with its compact layout, the attention to detail, cleanliness, and service quality make it feel much more premium. It’s definitely not your average budget stay—great value for the price, and I’d happily book again if I’m back in Seoul.
