While the hotel is a bit outside the city center, it offers significantly better value compared to other options in downtown Seoul. The nearby subway station makes getting around easy—just hop on the train to explore major attractions. Alternatively, using a local ride-hailing app (available for download) lets you book a car in advance or request one instantly, which was especially helpful for our family of six. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance offering all kinds of authentic Korean food—just take a stroll and you’ll find something delicious. The front desk staff speak English and are genuinely warm and attentive. We booked two rooms: one king bedroom and one twin room with a queen-sized bed and a single bed, perfect for three people. The room had a lovely balcony, ample space, clean interiors, and water temperature that was just right. I particularly loved the shampoo and conditioner—they left my hair incredibly soft and smooth. I’d love to know the brand! Breakfast was modest in variety but tasty overall. All in all, this stay was highly satisfying, and I’d definitely return.

The breakfast buffet was exceptional—huge variety, fresh ingredients, and delicious options from both Korean and international cuisines. I especially loved the made-to-order omelets and warm artisan bread. Staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout my stay, always going the extra mile. The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable—the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Everything you’d expect from a luxury hotel: top-notch amenities, smart TV, premium bedding, and excellent soundproofing. It’s clear this hotel cares about guest comfort and experience. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Seoul.

While the room size is on the smaller side and the front desk staff seemed a bit reserved upon check-in without offering much guidance, the service truly shines during your stay. For instance, after buying snacks from the convenience store near the entrance around 9:30 PM, the shuttle driver kindly offered to deliver them straight to our room—something we hadn’t known about since it wasn’t mentioned at reception. That small gesture made a big difference. And don’t miss the hotel’s ground-floor bakery—it’s widely regarded as Seoul’s top French pastry shop. The pastries are rich, delicate, and absolutely worth a visit. Despite minor initial impressions, the attention to detail and thoughtful touches throughout the stay make this hotel stand out. Highly recommend for both comfort and convenience.

I did notice that toothbrushes require a small donation at the front desk, which is a bit unusual but still reasonable as part of their eco-friendly initiative. Staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our stay—always smiling, helpful, and professional. Location-wise, it’s perfect: just a 5-7 minute walk to the subway station, and walking out from exit 1 or 2 means you’re immediately in front of a convenience store—great for snacks or last-minute needs. Whether you're heading to Myeongdong, Gangnam, or Hanam-dong, everything is within easy reach. This hotel offers comfort, convenience, and excellent service—all in one. I’d definitely recommend it and will be returning.

Staying here for New Year's Eve was a highlight — there was a large fireworks display right in the square just outside the hotel, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. The subway entrance is literally five meters from the front door, making travel around Seoul incredibly convenient. Across the street is APM Mall, and Tennis Metro is right there too, so everything you need is within walking distance. The combination of great access, vibrant surroundings, and excellent service makes this hotel a standout choice. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Seoul who values convenience without sacrificing comfort or experience.
Travelodge Dongdaemun Seoul
We had a bit of a nightmare with our original booking—self-check-in didn’t work out, and we were scrambling around midnight. Thankfully, we found this hotel nearby, and to our relief, the front desk was still open past 1 AM. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful or welcoming. The room was small but perfectly functional—everything you’d need: comfy bed, reliable Wi-Fi, mini-fridge, and good AC. It’s super well-located near Dongdaemun, just a short walk to subway stations and shopping areas. We were impressed by how clean and well-maintained it felt for the price. If you’re in Seoul and need a last-minute spot with great service and convenience, this is definitely worth considering. Highly recommend!

I’ve stayed here multiple times and will definitely come back! The airport limousine bus stops right in front of the hotel, with buses running every 10 to 15 minutes—making arrivals and departures super convenient. The front desk staff includes fluent Japanese speakers, which was a big plus. My flight was delayed and I expected to arrive after midnight, so I sent an email in advance. They replied promptly, reassuring me that there’s 24-hour staffing and telling me to take my time. That message really helped me stay calm. The room has a bathtub with a shower curtain, so water doesn’t splash into the toilet area—perfect for someone petite like me. There’s a cleaning request button by the door: press it before heading out, and when you return, the room is already spotless with fresh bed-making. Bottled water is refilled daily, and towels are changed regularly—attention to detail is excellent. Nearby, there’s a convenience store, and it’s just a short walk to Dongdaemun Market and other local spots. The neighborhood itself is fun to explore. I’ll definitely be back whenever I visit Dongdaemun.

The lobby café offers free juice refills—perfect for a refreshing start to the day. If you're craving ramen, it's available for 4,000 KRW, which is fair for the quality. What made our stay truly special? We were lucky enough to experience Seoul’s first snowfall during our visit—such a magical moment! The hotel even placed a thoughtful “Caution: Slippery Floor” sign at the entrance, showing how much care they put into guest safety and comfort. It’s clear this place values cleanliness, security, and a friendly atmosphere. A standout stay with a warm, welcoming vibe—highly recommend for anyone visiting Seoul.

I was informed prior to my trip that the sauna was undergoing renovation and temporarily unavailable, but upon check-in, the staff happily confirmed the work had actually finished the day before—so it was open for use. Though I didn’t get a chance to try it due to scheduling, I’m definitely planning to when I return, since the sauna (with separate fee for scrubbing) is one of this hotel’s main highlights. I stayed on the top floor (7th), and one of the staff kindly pointed me toward the rooftop via the emergency exit—what an amazing view! During my stay, I met four different team members, all of whom were incredibly warm and thoughtful. One even said, 'Hope it doesn’t rain!' with a smile when I mentioned the weather, which really made me feel at ease. The building has seen better days, but its location is excellent—close to the station and perfect for visiting Dongdaemun. There was a little mishap: I accidentally broke a part of the toilet paper holder during a replacement, and I was worried about having to pay for it. Instead, a female staff member gently reassured me, 'No need to worry at all,' and her kindness brought tears to my eyes—especially with my daughter. This is exactly why this place earns such great reviews. Amenities included toothbrush, shower cap, comb, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The room was cleaned daily, and towels, bath mats, and face cloths were replaced every day—plus, the toilet flushed perfectly, which is a big plus. The only downsides? No landline in the room, so you have to walk downstairs to contact front desk. Also, the shower pressure is quite weak, making it a bit tricky to use. But overall, the experience was fantastic. If you’re visiting Seoul, I highly recommend giving this hotel a try.

The hotel is excellent overall—great location, super convenient for getting around Seoul, and the staff are very friendly. My only confusion was that I booked a two-night stay, but I had to check out on the second day and couldn’t recheck in until after 6 PM. That timing restriction felt a bit odd and wasn’t clearly explained upfront. Still, the team handled it well, and even though I had to move my luggage, it didn’t ruin the experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and the value for money was strong. Definitely would stay here again.
