InterContinental Brisbane

Absolutely delighted with this stay! The InterContinental Brisbane truly lives up to its reputation. From the moment we arrived, staff were attentive—helping with luggage and personally escorting us to our room. The facilities throughout the hotel are excellent, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on. Breakfast wasn’t overly large in variety, but every item was thoughtfully prepared with high-quality ingredients—everything tasted fresh and delicious, especially the local-style pastries. The view from the window offered a stunning glimpse of the city skyline, adding to the overall experience. Every touchpoint—from check-in and breakfast to room service and checkout—was seamless and satisfying. For the price, staying at such a premium property felt like an absolute steal. I’ll definitely be back here on my next trip to Brisbane.

voco Brisbane City Centre

Staying at the voco Brisbane City Centre was a great experience overall. The hotel is perfectly located right next to the Queen Street entrance, and having breakfast with views of the river and the iconic Ferris wheel was a real highlight. It's just a short walk or quick transit ride to South Bank and the museum—ideal for exploring the city. The room was compact but spotlessly clean, and I appreciated the little touches like free milk and bottled water in the fridge. One downside was the delayed refund of my deposit—it took nearly a month after check-out, which was frustrating. That said, the location, comfort, and overall vibe more than make up for it. Highly recommend for travelers looking for convenience and a cozy stay in Brisbane.

The rooftop pool and sauna are absolute highlights—serene, beautifully maintained, and perfect for unwinding after a long day. Story Apartments

Overall, it was a pleasant stay with a spacious and well-maintained unit. The place felt clean and offered good value for the price. That said, there were a few issues that could be improved. While there was a washing machine and drying rack, no clothes pegs were provided—something basic but very useful. The garbage disposal in the sink wasn’t clearly marked, which turned out to be a safety concern. I accidentally placed a few knives in the sink and tried to turn on what I thought was a light switch—immediately, the disposal kicked in, sending the knives bouncing around. One nearly fell into the blades. That was scary and could’ve been dangerous. There was also no instruction manual for the kettle—after fumbling with several buttons, I gave up and boiled water in a saucepan on the stove. The couch was extremely low and stiff, making it difficult to get up from, especially for older guests or those with back or knee issues. We ended up using kitchen chairs instead. A dirty knife was left in the sink, which raised hygiene concerns. Lastly, the pool location wasn’t clearly signposted. We took the elevator to what we assumed was the right floor, only to find glass doors leading outside with no indication that this was where the pool was. We had to call reception to confirm the way. Clearer signage would make a big difference. Overall, a decent experience, but attention to these small details would greatly enhance comfort and safety.
