Staying at Shangri-La Guilin was an absolutely unforgettable experience. Our guest host Emily went above and beyond—she reached out in advance to learn about our preferences and even prepared thoughtful little amenities for our child. The housekeeping staff, Jongche, was incredibly attentive, personally escorting us to our room and giving a detailed walk-through of the hotel’s facilities with genuine warmth. The room itself beautifully blends modern comfort with traditional northern Guangxi charm—our bed was so cozy we slept like babies all night. But the real highlight? The evening view: as dusk fell, the river lights gently lit up the scene outside our window, turning the Li River into a shimmering canvas. Absolutely breathtaking. Breakfast was fantastic—wide variety, delicious quality—and the local beer fish at the Chinese restaurant was authentic and mouthwatering. Pool attendant Tang Jundong was patient and welcoming, guiding us straight to the pool area with a smile. Every touch felt personal, every service thoughtful. This isn’t just a hotel—it’s a home away from home. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be back.

The front desk staff, especially Xiao Mei, was incredibly helpful and professional. Staying at this hotel was an absolute delight from start to finish. Located just steps away from Xiao Yao Tower, it’s incredibly easy to find—just walk down from Jiefang Bridge and you’re there. The entrance is clearly marked, making arrival stress-free. Upon check-in, we were warmly greeted with a refreshing loquat tea, a small but thoughtful touch. The room view? Absolutely unbeatable. From the window, you get a perfect sightline of Xiao Yao Tower and the serene Li River, especially magical in the morning light. I spent hours just sitting by the window soaking in the scenery—pure bliss. The bed was a massive king size, easily over three meters long, and incredibly comfortable. Everything you’d expect is included: free access to all major TV channels, clean and modern amenities. The bathroom features disposable slippers and reusable ones that can get wet, plus a smart toilet with automatic flushing. One minor note—the shower area shares space with the toilet and lacks a door or curtain, so water tends to splash out. That said, the overall space feels spacious and well-designed. There’s a 24-hour laundry service on-site with both washing and drying options, and they even offer complimentary room service for laundry pickup and delivery. Breakfast was a highlight—huge variety, great taste, and I finally got to try authentic Guilin rice noodles. Eating up on the 7th-floor restaurant while looking out at Xiao Yao Tower felt like a scene from a postcard. The Benwei Hotel at the Expo Center in Guilin completely exceeded my expectations! The front desk staff was incredibly helpful and upgraded my room to a larger one at no extra cost—so thoughtful. The entire place felt bright, clean, and inviting from the moment I walked in. My room had a modern, serene vibe with excellent lighting and a cozy layout. Breakfast was a highlight—authentic Guilin rice noodles and rich oil tea were both delicious, and the fresh vegetables were crisp and vibrant. Even better, they included free liu-ba tea samples and seasonal fruit in the room—perfect for enjoying in the lounge area. I loved sipping tea in the lobby, relaxing with a book. Every detail felt intentional and well-executed. This is more than just a place to stay—it’s an experience. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Guilin. Truly worth every penny!

Fanxinli Guesthouse (Guilin Two Rivers and Four Lakes Xiangshan Park)

Staying at Fanxinli Guesthouse was an absolute highlight of my trip to Guilin. The room was spotless, warmly heated, and offered a breathtaking view of Xiangshan Park right outside the window—truly one of Guilin’s iconic landmarks. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful, even assisting with renting an electric scooter to explore the area easily. Located just steps away from major attractions like the Two Rivers and Four Lakes and Elephant Trunk Hill, everything is within walking distance. Nearby, you’ll find supermarkets, breakfast spots, and cozy cafés—perfect for convenience. The guesthouse also features a lovely afternoon tea area and a restaurant, both offering a relaxed vibe. Everything about this stay—from service and cleanliness to amenities and location—was top-notch. I couldn’t have asked for a better first stop on my journey. Highly recommend this gem if you’re looking for comfort, charm, and great value in the heart of Guilin.

My sister and I visited Guilin for a weekend getaway, and honestly, we couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. This charming hotel sits right in the heart of the city, just steps away from the Li River—our room had an unbeatable riverside view, perfect for morning jogs along the bank. The entire property was beautifully decorated with a festive Christmas vibe that added such warmth to our stay. The room itself was spotless and immaculately clean—hygiene was never a concern. When I went to use the self-service laundry the next day, it was already full. Instead of waiting, the staff member kindly offered me a spot and even took care of the laundry for me. When it was done, my clothes were returned neatly folded and packed—such a thoughtful touch! The service was incredibly prompt and genuinely welcoming. As a food lover, I was thrilled by the dining options: breakfast featured fresh, crisp ice lettuce—my absolute favorite. Lunch and dinner offered creative, locally inspired dishes with excellent flavor and presentation. Every meal felt special. This hotel exceeded all expectations—highly recommend for anyone visiting Guilin.

The front desk staff went above and beyond by upgrading me to a larger room at no extra cost, and the welcome snack was a delightful surprise: not just regular mint candies, but chewy hawthorn slices and little sesame twists—my kids were thrilled! The location is perfect—just 3 bus stops to Elephant Trunk Hill, 1 stop to the Jingjiang Prince's Mansion, and only 6 stops to Guilin North Railway Station. Taxis never cost more than $20, making it super convenient for travelers on a budget. This hotel delivers an excellent balance of comfort, service, and value—definitely a top pick if you're visiting Guilin.

This was my second visit to Osmanthus Tree Resort & Spa, and I’m already planning my next stay. The first time I stayed in a twin room—spacious and comfortable—and this time I accidentally booked the wrong room type. I reached out to the front desk, and the staff member immediately stepped in, consulted with management, and upgraded me to the same twin room at no extra cost. That kind of service is rare and truly impressive. The facilities are top-notch, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the attention to detail made all the difference. My kids had a blast exploring the space and even asked if we could stay longer. Everything—from the warm welcome to the thoughtful touches—makes me want to come back again. Definitely one of those places you’ll remember long after check-out.

Staying at Li River CIAO Hotel was an absolute highlight of my trip to Guilin! The room view overlooking the Li River was breathtaking—every morning felt like waking up in a postcard. Service was prompt and friendly; whether I called or messaged via WeChat, responses came quickly. To my surprise, they upgraded our room for free and even offered a late checkout—such a thoughtful touch! My mom and I both loved the chairs in the room—they were surprisingly comfortable and perfect for relaxing after a long day. I also booked the one-hour artistic photo shoot experience, which was efficient and delivered great results: three beautiful, natural-looking photos that captured the moment perfectly. The custom gift set included a calming essential oil with real rose petals inside—opening it released such a rich, soothing rose scent that instantly lifted my mood. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to visit the Gu Opera cultural exhibition, but that didn’t take away from the overall fantastic experience. From the location to the personal touches, this hotel truly stands out. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful, stylish stay with a hint of local charm.
