My first visit to Xi'an turned out to be an unforgettable stay at HUALUXE Xi'an Tanghua by IHG. The location is perfect—just a 10-minute walk from the bustling Datang Fubin Night Market, the Chang’an Twelve Hours experience, and the beautiful Daming Palace Park. No need for taxis; everything is within easy reach on foot. I was there during my birthday, and the hotel went above and beyond—surprised me with a delicious cake and even decorated the room with care. It felt truly special. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, offering a wide variety of options, including authentic local favorites like lamb stewed bread (yang rou pao mo), meat-filled buns (rou jia mo), Biangbiang noodles, and Zengao. Plus, the garden features two gorgeous peacocks that stroll around peacefully—perfect for photos. The room itself was spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable, with soft bedding and complimentary sleep aids like herbal pillows and sachets. The view outside the window was stunning, especially at night when the Big Wild Goose Pagoda lights up. I’d definitely come back again. But as soon as we stepped through the hotel’s revolving doors, everything changed. The subtle ambient scent in the lobby instantly refreshed me, even after feeling slightly queasy from the trip. The Wi-Fi connection was fast and reliable—perfect for gaming, especially when I played Honor of Kings without any lag. My friend and I had a triple room the previous night, and it was just as clean and quiet. The location is ideal: a 7-10 minute walk to the nearest metro station, and super close to major attractions like the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Muslim Quarter.
