Holiday Inn Express Seoul Hongdae
Staying at Holiday Inn Express Seoul Hongdae was an absolute delight. The hotel is perfectly located right above Hongdae Station, and the building even has a convenient shopping mall on-site—perfect for grabbing snacks or essentials without having to go far. It's just a 5-10 minute walk to the heart of Hongdae’s vibrant district, making it easy to explore local shops, cafes, and late-night spots. Check-in and check-out were smooth and quick, and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Their friendly attitude really added to the overall experience. If you're looking for a great base in Seoul with excellent transit access, a lively neighborhood, and reliable service, this hotel delivers everything you’d want. I’d definitely recommend it and plan to stay here again.

Location is unbeatable—just a short subway ride from major attractions like Myeongdong and Namdaemun Market. The staff were welcoming and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful yet luxurious. It's rare to find such a perfect balance of comfort, culture, and convenience at this price point. We stayed in a family-friendly room designed for three, and the space was pleasantly spacious—perfect for our small group. The only minor issue was a slightly clogged faucet in the bathroom, but the staff responded promptly and resolved it right away with a friendly attitude. What really stood out was the convenience of the airport shuttle stopping directly at the hotel entrance—no need to worry about transfers or extra walking, especially with luggage and kids in tow. Overall, the value for money is excellent. From service to location, everything exceeded expectations. I’d definitely recommend this place and plan to stay here again on my next trip to Seoul.

Absolutely exceeded my expectations! I went in with low expectations since the room photos made it look quite small, but upon check-in, the front desk surprised me with a complimentary upgrade—what a lucky break! The room was spacious enough that two 28-inch suitcases could be laid flat on the floor without any crowding. While some amenities do show their age—especially an old leather chair with peeling upholstery, which would’ve looked better if replaced with a wooden one—the overall cleanliness was impressive. It’s clear the housekeeping team takes pride in maintaining the space. Location-wise, it’s incredibly secure and central—right next to the National Assembly, with police cars often parked nearby for reassurance. Within walking distance are convenience stores, cozy cafes, and great Korean BBQ spots. Plus, the airport bus route 6007 starts and ends just steps away, and you’re literally a stone’s throw from the National Assembly Station on Line 9. Getting to places like Yeouido Mall, Hongdae, or Mapo is super easy—ideal for travelers who value both convenience and accessibility.

This place has become my go-to base whenever I visit Korea—conveniently located just a short walk from Hongik University, with plenty of great cafes, restaurants, and local shops nearby. The room was clean, stylish, and full of character, making it feel like home. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going the extra mile to assist with travel tips and recommendations. Comfort Inn Yeouido
The Comfort Inn Yeouido is incredibly well-located—just a short walk to the subway station, making it super convenient for getting around Seoul. The airport bus stop is also nearby, and there are plenty of dining options within walking distance. The room was spotless, quiet, and very comfortable, perfect for a good night’s sleep. I loved that I could take the subway directly to Myeongdong without any transfers—super efficient. The station is literally just a 5-minute walk from the hotel, and across the street is the National Assembly building. It’s such a great central location with excellent access to everything. Highly recommend this place—it’s a fantastic value and I’d definitely stay here again.

Definitely planning to come back and bring friends for dinner—this hotel makes every experience feel special.
Local Stitch Creator Town Seogyo
Staying at Local Stitch Creator Town Seogyo was an absolute surprise and one of the highlights of our trip to Seoul. The location is incredibly convenient—just a 2-minute walk to a 7-Eleven, 8 minutes to a 24-hour café, 10 minutes to the subway (Green Line), 15 minutes to Hongdae, and just 20 minutes to Sinchon on foot. The room itself is compact but well-designed with excellent water pressure and smooth drainage. The bathtub was surprisingly spacious and comfortable. Towels, tissues, and bottled water are available for free at the lounge—great for refills. The lounge area is huge and packed with amenities: self-service washing machines, dryers, even a dry cleaner! Every seating area has plenty of power outlets—so thoughtful. There’s also a large gym perfect for fitness lovers, and two spacious kitchens where you can cook or heat up meals. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and spoke fluent English, making check-in and any requests super easy. This place offers such great value and comfort—it truly exceeded expectations. I took some photos during my stay, though I forgot that uploads are only allowed through the platform. Still, I’d highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Seoul.
Sunnyhill Guesthouse Hongdae
I always book this place whenever I visit Seoul because my friend lives in Hongdae and I need a convenient spot close to her. After checking out many other guesthouses, this one stands out as the perfect choice—great location, clean rooms, and a welcoming vibe. I've stayed in both the new and old buildings, and both experiences were excellent. The staff is friendly, and getting around by subway is super easy. It's consistently reliable and offers amazing value for money. I truly hope they keep up the great work—I’ll definitely be back on my next trip!
Bias K-Girl Guesthouse - Women Only
Staying at this women-only guesthouse in Seoul was such a delightful surprise! The hostess was incredibly kind and gentle, taking her time to walk us through the entire place and how to use all the facilities—so welcoming and patient. What made it even more special was discovering she’s also a huge fan of NCT Dream and BTS—immediately bonding with us over our shared fandom. We even met another fellow female guest who was equally sweet and fun to hang out with. It felt like a little girl gang getaway full of good vibes. The atmosphere was warm, safe, and totally unique. I can’t wait to bring my friends back after my final exams next year—this place has already earned a permanent spot on my must-return list!

The hotel is immaculate and beautifully designed, with an unbeatable location just steps away from LFC. What truly stood out was the front desk staff member who happened to be from Hong Kong—when they noticed we didn’t speak Korean, they went above and beyond to assist with check-in, patiently guiding us through the process. It’s rare to feel such genuine care while traveling far from home. I really wanted to thank them in person, but unfortunately didn’t get a chance to see them again. Finding a familiar face in a foreign city made all the difference—it felt like a small but meaningful connection. A heartfelt thanks to that kind soul for making our stay so much more personal and welcoming.
Dongjak (Daebangdong) Hyu
I stayed here during Chuseok and was pleasantly surprised. Compared to the nearby motels, this place stands out as a much better option—especially if you're staying in Dongjak or Daebangdong area. The rooms have great potential; with a bit more upkeep, it could easily be a solid 4-star hotel. It's just a short walk from the subway station, making commuting super convenient. There are plenty of dining options around, so whether you're hanging out with friends or enjoying a quiet evening with your partner, this is the perfect spot to unwind. A truly relaxing and comfortable stay that feels like your own personal retreat.
