Premier Hotel Nakajima Park Sapporo

I rarely give a hotel a full five stars, but this one truly earned every point. Even though it’s a three-station ride from Sapporo Station via subway, the location is still very convenient—just a quick 20-minute commute. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with a bed that made for a restful night’s sleep. But what really stood out was the bathroom: the shower has powerful yet gentle water pressure, hands down the best shower experience I’ve had in any hotel. And then there’s the breakfast—absolutely exceptional. It felt like a five-star chef personally crafted each dish: premium smoked salmon, delicious Hokkaido-raised pork, beautifully presented cup salads, an impressive array of pastries, fresh drinks, and even milk that actually agreed with my stomach. The only minor downside? No yogurt, but honestly, that’s a tiny detail. If I ever return to Hokkaido on a self-guided trip, this hotel will be my first choice again.

karaksa hotel Sapporo

This hotel exceeded my expectations despite the compact room size—especially when traveling with two others, as luggage felt a bit tight. The small window doesn’t open, which is a minor downside, but everything else was spot-on. The room was clean and cozy, with a comfortable bed that made for a restful night’s sleep. What really stood out was the unbeatable location right in the heart of Tondamachi (Lion's Road), making it super easy to explore local shops, restaurants, and nightlife. I walked around all day and came back to unwind in the hotel’s spacious bathhouse—nothing beats soaking in hot water after a long day. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, always with a smile. Bonus points for the complimentary toiletries provided at the lobby. While the room might feel cramped for three guests, the overall experience was excellent. Great value, top service, and a perfect base for exploring Sapporo. Highly recommend!

Daiwa Roynet Hotel Sapporo-Susukino

I've stayed at several hotels in Sapporo, but this Daiwa Roynet Hotel Susukino truly stands out for its amazing value. The best part? It's directly across from a subway station entrance—though there's no elevator, it's still super convenient for getting to Sapporo Station with just a quick ride. A 5- to 10-minute walk takes you right into the heart of Susukino's lively shopping and dining district, where you'll find everything from local ramen spots to trendy boutiques. Even better: there’s a convenience store right on the ground floor—perfect for late-night snacks or essentials. Staying at Sapporo Tokyu Rei Hotel was an absolute highlight of my trip to Hokkaido. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from Nishi-2-chome Station's Exit 4, with a cozy bakery right outside where I grabbed fresh pudding and toast in the morning. My double room was surprisingly spacious—my suitcase opened fully three times over, and there was even a small sofa for relaxing. The view from the window? Straight onto the iconic Ferris wheel, especially magical at night when it lights up. On my second night, we experienced a minor earthquake—no panic at all thanks to the hotel’s immediate broadcast alert and clearly marked emergency exits throughout the hallways. Safety first, and this place delivered. At just under $400 per night, the value is incredible—great location, big room, excellent service. Plus, they offer luggage storage, which made my early check-in and late checkout so much easier. This is definitely a hotel I’d return to without hesitation.
