This hotel is perfectly located right next to the DDP subway station exit, making it incredibly convenient for travelers. Just a short walk from the station and within easy reach of DDP, it’s ideal for those who want to explore the city without hassle. The hotel itself is very visible and easy to spot. The front desk is on the 7th floor, and the staff are friendly and able to communicate in Mandarin, which made check-in smooth and stress-free. I was impressed by how well-located and accessible this place is—great value for money and highly recommended for anyone visiting Seoul.

I absolutely loved my stay at Urban Place Gangnam! Location-wise, the bus stop right downstairs made commuting a breeze; just a 5-minute walk to get there, so getting around Seoul was effortless. Plus, there are tons of dining options right on the ground floor—great variety from casual eats to local favorites. With its unbeatable convenience, great value, and friendly vibe, I’d definitely book here again next time I visit Seoul.

Staying at this hotel in Gangnam, Seoul was a decent experience overall. While it's a bit of a walk from the nearest subway station—about 10 minutes on foot—the location is still convenient and well-connected to local attractions. For around $190 USD per night (roughly equivalent to 1,500 TWD), you can’t expect everything to be perfect. The elevator was out of service during our stay, so we had to climb four flights of stairs—definitely tiring, especially with luggage. That said, considering the price point, it’s something we could overlook. The room was clean, the staff were polite, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. Public transportation is easily accessible, making it simple to explore the city. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly option in a prime area and don’t mind a short walk or a few minor inconveniences, this place offers solid value.

Staying at H Hotel Wangsimni in Seoul was an absolute delight. The room was spotless, with a comfortable bed and all the essentials neatly arranged—clean, well-maintained, and very welcoming. Location-wise, it couldn’t be better: just a 3-minute walk from Exit 1 of Wangsimni Station on Line 2, making public transit super convenient. I took the 421 bus directly to Myeongdong—no transfers needed—and arrived in under 20 minutes. There’s also a large Emart supermarket nearby, perfect for grabbing snacks or essentials during your stay. Everything is within easy reach, and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. With its unbeatable convenience, great value, and clean, modern vibe, this place is a top pick for anyone visiting Seoul. Definitely coming back.

The room is a bit small, but it’s incredibly convenient for exploring Seoul. I was just a short walk from Dongdaemun, perfect for evening strolls or catching the night vibes in the area. The subway entrance is literally right outside the door—super easy access to all parts of the city. There are plenty of shops nearby that stay open late, and the food options are fantastic—great variety, from local street eats to cozy cafes. Even with the compact space, the location more than makes up for it. If you’re looking for a no-fuss, well-located base to enjoy Seoul on your own terms, this place is a solid choice.
alma Hotel
I can't recommend Alma Hotel enough — this was hands down my favorite stay during my trip to Seoul! The hotel is incredibly clean and quiet, which made for some of the best sleep I've had in a long time. I actually changed my booking last minute because it was freezing when I arrived, and switching to this place with radiant floor heating was one of the best decisions I made. That warmth was so comfortable — I even ended up sweating through the night, I just didn’t want to leave the room! The room itself isn’t huge, but the bed is absolutely massive — a true king-sized double that’s perfect for rolling around on. The minimalist design also fits my taste perfectly. Location-wise, it’s fantastic: just a 2-minute walk to Sinchon Station, and from there you can reach Myeongdong, Euljiro, Lotte World, Seongsu, Cheongdam, and Hongdae all without transfers. That alone saved me so much time and energy — navigating Seoul’s subway system is exhausting, so being able to go straight there was a game-changer. Prices were very reasonable too, with only a small increase on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. All other nights were under $400 USD. I arrived early on the day of check-in (around 8:30 AM) and paid an extra 240 KRW to get in early — worth every penny, as I got a solid nap before heading out to explore. The only downsides? No housekeeping or fresh mineral water replenished during my stay, and the front desk staff was hard to spot — I ended up checking out by leaving my key behind since I couldn’t find anyone to ask about luggage storage. But honestly, those are minor issues compared to how great everything else was. If I’m ever back in Seoul, this will be my first choice again.

Checked in late at night, but the front desk staff were still very attentive and made the process super smooth. The team was friendly and even upgraded our room without any hassle—definitely a pleasant surprise. We appreciated the small touches like individually packaged skincare items, which felt thoughtful and added to the overall comfort. While it has a motel-like vibe with its compact layout, the attention to detail, cleanliness, and service quality make it feel much more premium. It’s definitely not your average budget stay—great value for the price, and I’d happily book again if I’m back in Seoul.

The hotel is excellent overall—great location, super convenient for getting around Seoul, and the staff are very friendly. My only confusion was that I booked a two-night stay, but I had to check out on the second day and couldn’t recheck in until after 6 PM. That timing restriction felt a bit odd and wasn’t clearly explained upfront. Still, the team handled it well, and even though I had to move my luggage, it didn’t ruin the experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and the value for money was strong. Definitely would stay here again.

Just a 1-minute walk from Exit 8 of Dongdaemun History & Cultural Park, this hotel is perfect for shopping and exploring the area. The place was incredibly clean and well-maintained, giving a very welcoming vibe. The bathtub was spacious and so relaxing—perfect for unwinding after a long day of sightseeing. I’d definitely stay here again when visiting Seoul. Great value and comfort in one!
