Travelodge Dongdaemun Seoul
We had a bit of a nightmare with our original booking—self-check-in didn’t work out, and we were scrambling around midnight. Thankfully, we found this hotel nearby, and to our relief, the front desk was still open past 1 AM. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful or welcoming. The room was small but perfectly functional—everything you’d need: comfy bed, reliable Wi-Fi, mini-fridge, and good AC. It’s super well-located near Dongdaemun, just a short walk to subway stations and shopping areas. We were impressed by how clean and well-maintained it felt for the price. If you’re in Seoul and need a last-minute spot with great service and convenience, this is definitely worth considering. Highly recommend!

Stayed at Sunshine Hotel for nine days and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The rooms were immaculately clean and incredibly comfortable—every detail felt well thought out. Staff were consistently friendly and respectful; housekeeping never interrupted our rest, yet responded promptly whenever we needed anything. The front desk manager was especially impressive—multilingual (Korean, English, basic Mandarin), always cheerful, and genuinely helpful. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable: right across from a 7-Eleven and surrounded by a variety of local restaurants—perfect for grabbing a quick bite or trying authentic Korean food without having to travel far. With such a great balance of comfort, service, and value, this hotel stands out among others in Seoul. I’ll definitely book here again on my next trip to Korea—it’s a top pick!

Staying at Hotel Tirol Gangnam was a fantastic experience! The location is unbeatable—just a 10-minute walk from the subway station, and right next to multiple convenience stores like 7-Eleven, CU, and GS25. You’ll never run out of options for snacks or essentials. The 24-hour front desk made check-in super smooth and hassle-free. I was pleasantly surprised by the room size—thought it might be small with a twin bed, but two girls easily had plenty of space. It’s perfect for travelers who want comfort without sacrificing location. If you're planning to stay in Sinchon or Gangnam, this hotel is a top pick. Great value, great vibe, and definitely going back!

Staying at Western Coop Hotel & Residence Dongdaemun was a great experience overall. The room was spacious and came with basic kitchenware, making it easy to heat up meals—perfect for travelers who want to save money or enjoy a home-cooked bite. Located just steps from the subway station, getting around Seoul is super convenient. There are also plenty of nearby convenience stores and restaurants. The only downside was the soundproofing—my neighbor’s alarm went off and didn’t stop, which woke me up early one morning. But that was just an isolated incident. Location-wise, it’s super convenient if you’re taking Line 5—exit 6 is the closest, but exit 5 works just as well and is only a short walk away. One nice bonus: there’s a nail salon right on the ground floor with a 30% discount for guests. The nail technician was incredibly attentive and even allowed me to message ahead to discuss my preferred design. The results were flawless—professional, detailed, and absolutely beautiful. A great little touch that made our stay even more enjoyable.

I’ve stayed here multiple times and will definitely come back! The airport limousine bus stops right in front of the hotel, with buses running every 10 to 15 minutes—making arrivals and departures super convenient. The front desk staff includes fluent Japanese speakers, which was a big plus. My flight was delayed and I expected to arrive after midnight, so I sent an email in advance. They replied promptly, reassuring me that there’s 24-hour staffing and telling me to take my time. That message really helped me stay calm. The room has a bathtub with a shower curtain, so water doesn’t splash into the toilet area—perfect for someone petite like me. There’s a cleaning request button by the door: press it before heading out, and when you return, the room is already spotless with fresh bed-making. Bottled water is refilled daily, and towels are changed regularly—attention to detail is excellent. Nearby, there’s a convenience store, and it’s just a short walk to Dongdaemun Market and other local spots. The neighborhood itself is fun to explore. I’ll definitely be back whenever I visit Dongdaemun.

I appreciated the efficient underfloor heating, especially during colder days, and the window allowed for good ventilation, so the space never felt stuffy. What stood out most was the fully self-service setup—perfect for introverts or travelers who value privacy and independence. The hostel is secure, well-organized, and offers great value for money. I’d definitely recommend it and would stay here again without hesitation.

The value for money at Hotel Star Premier Yeoksam is absolutely outstanding. Located just a short walk from Yeoksam Station, it's incredibly convenient for both business travel and exploring the city. The room was spotless and thoughtfully equipped—free bottled water and beverages were a nice touch, and I appreciated the complimentary charging cable right by the bed. Even though I didn’t use the desk computer, the wireless phone charger on the table was a thoughtful addition. Every little detail shows how well this hotel understands guest needs. I’ll definitely be booking here again for my next trip to Seoul.

I was informed prior to my trip that the sauna was undergoing renovation and temporarily unavailable, but upon check-in, the staff happily confirmed the work had actually finished the day before—so it was open for use. Though I didn’t get a chance to try it due to scheduling, I’m definitely planning to when I return, since the sauna (with separate fee for scrubbing) is one of this hotel’s main highlights. I stayed on the top floor (7th), and one of the staff kindly pointed me toward the rooftop via the emergency exit—what an amazing view! During my stay, I met four different team members, all of whom were incredibly warm and thoughtful. One even said, 'Hope it doesn’t rain!' with a smile when I mentioned the weather, which really made me feel at ease. The building has seen better days, but its location is excellent—close to the station and perfect for visiting Dongdaemun. There was a little mishap: I accidentally broke a part of the toilet paper holder during a replacement, and I was worried about having to pay for it. Instead, a female staff member gently reassured me, 'No need to worry at all,' and her kindness brought tears to my eyes—especially with my daughter. This is exactly why this place earns such great reviews. Amenities included toothbrush, shower cap, comb, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The room was cleaned daily, and towels, bath mats, and face cloths were replaced every day—plus, the toilet flushed perfectly, which is a big plus. The only downsides? No landline in the room, so you have to walk downstairs to contact front desk. Also, the shower pressure is quite weak, making it a bit tricky to use. But overall, the experience was fantastic. If you’re visiting Seoul, I highly recommend giving this hotel a try.

The hotel is excellent overall—great location, super convenient for getting around Seoul, and the staff are very friendly. My only confusion was that I booked a two-night stay, but I had to check out on the second day and couldn’t recheck in until after 6 PM. That timing restriction felt a bit odd and wasn’t clearly explained upfront. Still, the team handled it well, and even though I had to move my luggage, it didn’t ruin the experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and the value for money was strong. Definitely would stay here again.
