Kimpton Da An Hotel

Staying at Kimpton Da An Hotel was an absolute delight! The location is unbeatable—just a 3-minute walk from the MRT station, making it super convenient to explore downtown Taipei. The lobby has a calming, inviting atmosphere with a subtle scent that instantly puts you at ease. Staff are courteous and always ready to help, opening doors with a warm smile as you enter or exit. Nearby, I discovered the legendary Tian Xia San Jue Beef Noodle Soup—rich broth, perfectly tender beef, and a must-try. M One Coffee nearby is also fantastic, with a cozy vibe and excellent brews. What truly stood out was how pet-friendly the hotel is—my dog felt right at home, and the staff treated him like family. Service was impeccable throughout, and the overall experience was simply outstanding. Highly recommend this gem for any traveler visiting Taipei!

The room itself is incredibly comfortable, with a cozy bed and excellent soundproofing, so despite being in a convenient location, there’s zero noise from the street. Old Door Hostel & Bar

Staying at Old Door Hostel & Bar was an absolute highlight of my trip to Taipei! The location is unbeatable—just a 10-minute walk from the airport express station, making travel to and from the airport super convenient. My bunk was spacious enough for my luggage, and the bathroom was surprisingly large with plenty of room to store personal items. I appreciated the safety locker, and the included breakfast was a nice touch—warm, fresh, and satisfying. The staff went above and beyond: they greeted me with a welcoming cup of tea, gave a detailed walkthrough of the hostel, and personally showed me to my bed and bathroom. Their kindness and attention to detail made the whole experience feel personal and comfortable. I’ll definitely be booking here again on my next visit to Taipei!

Shangri-La Far Eastern, Taipei

I’d been wanting to stay at Shangri-La Far Eastern Taipei for a while, mainly because my travel group consisted of three people who all wanted individual beds and a single room. I was a bit hesitant at first since most of the online reviews were from 2017–2018, but once I arrived, I completely changed my mind—this hotel exceeded all expectations. The ambiance is incredibly luxurious, and the overall quality is top-notch. The room was much bigger than the photos suggested, offering plenty of space and a really comfortable feel. From the moment we walked in, the bell staff and front desk team were welcoming and professional—every interaction was pleasant. The signature fragrance and premium toiletries added that extra touch of sophistication. Initially, I was disappointed to learn that none of the four-room options had views of Taipei 101 (which was part of our original shortlist), but after seeing the room in person, I didn’t care about the view at all—the condition, cleanliness, and comfort were just too good. During our 3-night stay, we only encountered one other Korean guest (in the elevator!), and the breakfast area and pool were mostly filled with European travelers, giving it a very international vibe. What stood out the most was how the hotel proactively sent us a confirmation email after booking to confirm our schedule—something many 5-star hotels don’t do. It made planning so much easier and gave me peace of mind. Overall, this trip was enjoyable and stress-free thanks to the excellent service. I’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Taipei.

Mandarin Oriental Taipei

This trip to Asia included stays at other luxury hotels like Mandarin Oriental's counterparts, but none could match the exceptional experience at Mandarin Oriental Taipei. From the moment I walked in, warm greetings from staff made me feel instantly welcome—like coming home. The room was immaculately clean and meticulously maintained; even my tangled data cable was neatly organized and secured with a hotel-provided tie. Daily water replenishment was prompt, and the nightly turndown service went above and beyond—my room was refreshed, essentials restocked, and everything put back just right. The location is fantastic: surrounded by excellent restaurants and easily accessible via public transit to major attractions. Every team member I interacted with showed genuine care and professionalism. It’s rare to find such consistent attention to detail and heartfelt hospitality. I can’t wait to return.

Everything was well-maintained, from the furnishings to the amenities, and the attention to detail was impressive. The staff went above and beyond with their warm, friendly service—every interaction felt genuine and welcoming. They made us feel right at home. Located just minutes from the city center, it’s incredibly convenient for exploring Taipei, and the overall experience was outstanding. Regent Taipei

Staying at Regent Taipei was an absolute delight, especially with the complimentary 10,000 yuan voucher that made this experience feel like a nostalgic treat. The breakfast and afternoon tea were exceptional—high-quality, well-prepared, and delicious, though it did get quite busy, so expect some wait times during peak hours. What truly stood out was the staff: every single team member was attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. Special thanks to Song, who helped with check-out—his thoughtful kindness and personal touch left a lasting impression. The entire property is smoke-free, which contributes to a clean, peaceful atmosphere. I stayed in a south-facing room, and the natural light streaming in throughout the day was beautiful. The bed was firm, but surprisingly comfortable—I slept really well without any discomfort. The only minor note is that lighting in the elevator and hallway could be a bit brighter, but it’s a small detail in an otherwise outstanding stay. This hotel offers elegance, comfort, and excellent service at a great value. I’ll definitely be back.

Miramar Garden Taipei

Staying at Miramar Garden Taipei was an absolute delight. Despite being classified as a four-star hotel, the quality and amenities felt more like a five-star experience. The facilities are top-notch—especially the breakfast spread, which offered a great mix of local favorites and international options, all fresh and delicious. The pool area is clean, serene, and perfect for unwinding after a long day. Staff were consistently polite, attentive, and genuinely welcoming—always smiling and ready to help. The only minor drawback was a slight stuffiness in the room when the temperature was increased, but it didn’t detract much from the overall fantastic stay. For the comfort, location, and value, this hotel is hard to beat. I’d definitely book again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Taipei.

Howard Plaza Hotel

Staying at Howard Plaza Hotel in Taipei was an absolute delight from start to finish. The location is incredibly convenient—just a short walk to Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT Station, and the Sogo shopping mall is right around the corner. I parked my car in the hotel’s on-site parking lot, which made everything hassle-free. Even better, they allowed me to check out as late as 4:00 PM, giving me extra time to explore the area and enjoy some last-minute shopping without rushing. The staff were friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Every detail felt thoughtfully designed, from the clean, well-appointed rooms to the overall atmosphere. It’s rare to find such a perfect balance of comfort, convenience, and great service in one place. If I’m ever back in Taipei, this will definitely be my first choice again. Staying at The Okura Prestige Taipei was an absolute delight. From the moment I walked in, the Japanese-style service stood out—polite, attentive, and genuinely warm. The hotel’s minimalist white aesthetic creates a clean, serene atmosphere, and the cleanliness is top-notch; you can tell every corner is meticulously maintained. I stayed on the 19th floor, and the view was incredible—direct sightlines to Taipei 101, Taipei Station, and Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. It felt like being right in the heart of the city without the noise. The breakfast spread was excellent—fresh, diverse, and delicious, especially their pineapple buns, which were sweet, fluffy, and unforgettable.
