Absolutely exceeded my expectations! I went in with low expectations since the room photos made it look quite small, but upon check-in, the front desk surprised me with a complimentary upgrade—what a lucky break! The room was spacious enough that two 28-inch suitcases could be laid flat on the floor without any crowding. While some amenities do show their age—especially an old leather chair with peeling upholstery, which would’ve looked better if replaced with a wooden one—the overall cleanliness was impressive. It’s clear the housekeeping team takes pride in maintaining the space. Location-wise, it’s incredibly secure and central—right next to the National Assembly, with police cars often parked nearby for reassurance. Within walking distance are convenience stores, cozy cafes, and great Korean BBQ spots. Plus, the airport bus route 6007 starts and ends just steps away, and you’re literally a stone’s throw from the National Assembly Station on Line 9. Getting to places like Yeouido Mall, Hongdae, or Mapo is super easy—ideal for travelers who value both convenience and accessibility.
Sunnyhill Guesthouse Hongdae
I always book this place whenever I visit Seoul because my friend lives in Hongdae and I need a convenient spot close to her. After checking out many other guesthouses, this one stands out as the perfect choice—great location, clean rooms, and a welcoming vibe. I've stayed in both the new and old buildings, and both experiences were excellent. The staff is friendly, and getting around by subway is super easy. It's consistently reliable and offers amazing value for money. I truly hope they keep up the great work—I’ll definitely be back on my next trip!

Staying at YE4 Guesthouse was a delightful experience! The owner was incredibly kind and even prepared delicious homemade dinners and breakfasts for us—so warm and welcoming. We absolutely fell in love with the little dog who lives there; he’s such a sweet, friendly addition to the place. While it's a bit far from the subway station, catching a bus makes getting around very convenient. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, perfect for a relaxing stay. Great value for money and a lovely atmosphere—I’d definitely come back if I ever visit Seoul again.

There weren’t clear signs or instructions in Chinese, which made it challenging to know where to dispose of different types of trash. A simple multilingual guide or on-site reminder would go a long way in improving the experience for international travelers. Despite that, the location is excellent—close to subway access and surrounded by great local spots. Great value for money, and I’d definitely consider returning.

The complimentary breakfast items were a real highlight: fresh croissants and snacks that tasted great. The ciabatta bread provided on the first two mornings was absolutely delicious—light, airy, and perfect with coffee. It’s a bit disappointing that it switched to doughnuts on the final day, though they were still tasty. My stay at Eungam Maple in Seoul was somewhat disappointing. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, but the main issue was that only Korean was spoken throughout the property—there was no English support, which made communication difficult for non-Korean speakers. The room itself was quite small, and there wasn’t enough space to even open up a suitcase comfortably. While the team was kind and attentive, the lack of multilingual service and cramped layout made the experience less than ideal. Given these drawbacks, I wouldn’t choose this hotel again, especially when there are other more traveler-friendly options available in the city.

Bulgwang M & A
I was a bit skeptical at first since the price seemed too good compared to nearby motels, but I'm so glad I gave it a try.
