Finally stayed at the Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou—the dream hotel I’ve been looking forward to for ages, and it did not disappoint! My birthday celebration setup was thoughtful and beautifully done—perfect ambiance, and the cake was absolutely delicious, just the right sweetness. The lounge’s afternoon tea and dinner were exceptional: fresh ingredients, elegant presentation, and the evening drinks were unlimited, which was a real treat. Breakfast was a bit crowded, but the menu was varied and the food tasted great—though I missed trying the dan dan noodles this time (will definitely go back for that!). When checking out, I requested a late checkout, and although they could only accommodate a short extension due to high occupancy, they made every effort to help. Overall, the experience was outstanding—from service to amenities, every detail felt special. This is luxury done right, and I’d happily return again.

The expansive sight instantly lifted our spirits. We’d specifically booked W Guangzhou for this trip because it coincided with the Guangzhou Marathon, and honestly, it exceeded all expectations. The location is unbeatable—right next to Guangdong Museum, Guangzhou Library, and Huacheng Square, with both the marathon start/finish line and packet pickup just a short walk away. The hotel’s design is bold and futuristic, with a vibrant, energetic atmosphere in the lobby that’s perfect for those who love modern urban style. Rooms are sleek, well-equipped, and feature top-quality bedding—super comfortable for a good night’s sleep. Dinner at the buffet was impressive: wide variety, fresh ingredients, and consistently high quality. But what truly stood out was the service—especially Clinton at reception. He greeted us with a warm smile, handled check-in smoothly, upgraded our room without hesitation, packed breakfast for us to take to the marathon, and even extended our checkout time when we returned late after the race. That kind of thoughtful hospitality made all the difference. This stay was unforgettable—not just for the luxury or location, but for the genuine care shown by the team. My personal assistant, Sophia, went above and beyond by arranging a lovely birthday cake and a heartfelt welcome card in advance—such a sweet surprise! Chris from room service was incredibly warm and attentive throughout our stay. Amelia made check-in smooth and personalized, showing genuine care and attention to detail. Every touchpoint felt thoughtfully curated, making this stay feel truly special. Without a doubt, this will be my go-to choice whenever I return to Guangzhou, and I’ll definitely recommend it to friends and family.

LN Garden Hotel Guangzhou

We stayed at LN Garden Hotel Guangzhou during the New Year holiday, choosing this long-established five-star hotel for its reputation and family appeal—my parents especially loved it. This year marks the hotel’s 40th anniversary, and the rich history, elegant ambiance, and exceptional service made our visit truly memorable. The location is incredibly convenient—right next to a metro station, which was great even if we didn’t use it daily. The garden area is peaceful and well-maintained, but what really stood out was the complimentary guided tour. At 2 PM, we were led by Mandy, a top-tier guide, who gave a detailed and engaging walkthrough of the facilities, including the fourth-floor museum. My mom was absolutely delighted—it was such a thoughtful addition, and I sincerely hope the hotel keeps this program alive. Service quality was outstanding throughout: warm welcome at check-in, dedicated staff operating elevators on every floor, and even personnel on duty at the lobby after midnight. On my birthday, they surprised us with a beautifully decorated room, a delicious cake (which was seriously one of the best I’ve ever had!), and Zoe personally helped carry my luggage up to the room. When there was a minor air-con issue, they responded immediately—even though it turned out not to be faulty, they still proactively opened the window for fresh air. That kind of care goes beyond expectations. Breakfast options were excellent too: three different venues across the ground floor, the 30th-floor revolving restaurant, and the Yuan Tao Hall. We stayed three nights and managed to try all three. Plus, the platform voucher included afternoon tea and happy hour—such an amazing value-add. Overall, this stay was everything we hoped for and more. Highly recommended.

Cleanliness was top-notch, with attention to even the smallest details, showing genuine care. Breakfast was a real highlight—plenty of options blending Western and local flavors. I especially loved the authentic rice noodle rolls and the creative salted egg yolk croissants—they were delicious and energizing for the day ahead. But what truly stood out was the service from Kiki at the front desk. From check-in onward, she was warm, attentive, and incredibly helpful. When I mentioned I preferred a quiet room with a great view, she proactively arranged it for me. Later, when I had questions about using the coffee machine, she responded instantly with clear, professional guidance. Even during check-out, everything was smooth and friendly, with her always smiling. Her professionalism and genuine care made all the difference. This trip wasn’t just comfortable—it felt personal. If you’re planning a visit to Guangzhou, I can’t recommend this hotel enough. It’s not just convenient or well-equipped—it’s thoughtfully designed, beautifully run, and staffed by people who genuinely care.
