The Peninsula Bangkok

This was our second stay at The Peninsula Bangkok, and just like the first time, we left with unforgettable memories. Despite being over 25 years old, the hotel’s timeless charm, exceptional service, prime riverside location, and authentic Thai elegance more than make up for any aging infrastructure. It feels less like a modern luxury hotel and more like stepping into a classic Hollywood film—sophisticated, elegant, and effortlessly refined. The highlight? Watching the New Year’s Eve fireworks from our balcony—absolutely magical and completely unexpected. If you’re looking for a place that offers atmosphere over flashy amenities, this is it. You’ll either fall in love with its unique character or question the price—but the experience truly depends on whether you appreciate the quiet luxury and nostalgic grandeur it delivers. Do your research, and decide if this kind of ambiance resonates with you.

Novotel Bangkok on Siam Square

This has easily been the best hotel I've stayed at in Thailand. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful—since there was availability, they even offered a free early check-in, which was such a nice surprise. The location is unbeatable: right next to Siam Square, with all the major shopping malls just a short walk away. No need to worry about taxis or transport at all. I’d seen some reviews mentioning it might feel dated, but after five nights here, I can confidently say that’s not true—everything is clean, well-maintained, and spotless. The room was comfortable, the amenities were solid, and the price felt very fair for what you get. I’ll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Bangkok, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

Chillax Heritage Bangkok

The hotel is beautifully located in a safe and clean neighborhood, with everything nearby—perfect for exploring Bangkok on foot. The room is compact but well-designed, especially the bathroom which feels spacious and comfortable. While the price is slightly higher than average, it's justified by the excellent location, cleanliness, and overall experience. It’s definitely worth the investment if you're looking for a quiet, authentic stay in the heart of the city.

Arpo Pool Villa Riverside Bangkok

I was extremely disappointed with my stay at this property. The cleanliness was appalling—bed linens were visibly dirty and caused severe itching after sleeping on them. Despite reporting the issue, the response was slow and unsatisfactory, and even getting a full refund took much longer than expected. The overall condition of the rooms suggested years without proper cleaning. The location near the river is nice in theory, but the surrounding area is noisy and unclean. It's hard to believe such a place made it onto any booking platform, especially given the lack of basic hygiene standards. I’d strongly advise travelers to think twice before choosing this hotel—your experience could be just as frustrating as mine.

W22 by Burasari Hotel

Staying at W22 by Burasari Hotel in Bangkok was an absolute highlight of my trip. Located just steps away from Chinatown and a short walk from Wat Mankon BTS station, the hotel is perfectly positioned for exploring the city. The interior design stands out with its unique style—motorcycle collections throughout the lobby give it a cool, local vibe that feels authentic and artistic. On the second floor, free coffee, tea, and water are available 24/7, plus there’s a paid laundry machine, massage chair, and treadmill—great for guests who want to stay active during their stay. I also appreciated the option to book day trips right at reception. Breakfast costs 150 THB but is worth it—fresh and filling. Yes, there are some late-night street activities nearby, but the area remains safe, especially with the convenience of a 7-Eleven open late. With so many international travelers around, the atmosphere is lively and welcoming. This place offers fantastic value and a memorable experience—I’ll definitely be back.
