Wharney Hotel

This place exceeded my expectations! Just a 200-meter walk from Exit C of Wan Chai MTR station—super convenient, and the route is lined with lots of local eateries. Around lunchtime, you’ll see plenty of Westerners and South Asians enjoying drinks on the sidewalk, giving the area a lively, authentic vibe. Nearby is one of Hong Kong’s latest viral dessert spots—so popular that the line was insane, so we ended up stumbling into a small ginger noodle shop called Jiang Gong Select. The food was amazing, though it was a bummer they didn’t accept Octopus or PayMe. The room itself isn’t huge, but the layout feels spacious and not cramped at all. The bathroom is compact—sitting on the toilet, the door brushes against your knee—but it’s spotless and freshly renovated. They even offered complimentary coffee upon check-in, and the front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering to carry our luggage. One tip: avoid rooms right next to the elevator—those first ones on each floor are likely noisy due to poor sound insulation. We stayed in a mid-aisle room, and it was peaceful throughout. Overall, great value, excellent location, and warm service—definitely worth staying again.

You're surrounded by amazing street food, local markets, convenience stores, and easy access to shopping areas like Mong Kok and Tsim Sha Tsui. Public transport is super convenient, whether you're heading to the airport or exploring Hong Kong Island. For such a great location and quality, the value for money is outstanding. The staff went above and beyond—friendly, attentive, and always smiling. Every evening, they did the turndown service with care, which added a nice personal touch. The fitness center is compact but equipped with top-tier Technogym machines, perfect for a quick workout. But honestly, the real surprise was the dining. The Western restaurant served an outstanding dinner—perfectly cooked steak and a delicious seafood risotto that blew me away. Breakfast was equally impressive, with a wide variety of high-quality options. From start to finish, every detail was thoughtfully done. This hotel exceeded all my expectations. I’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hong Kong.

Location-wise, it’s unbeatable; just a short walk to MTR stations, and you’re minutes away from Central, Tsim Sha Tsui, and all the major attractions. The Jervois Hong Kong

Staying at The Jervois Hong Kong was one of the best decisions I made during my trip to Hong Kong. Right next to Sheung Wan MTR station—just a 3-5 minute walk—it’s incredibly convenient for getting around. I loved how close it was to the Star Ferry scenic route and the Mid-Levels escalator; I could easily explore the area without needing to carry bags or worry about luggage. Even when heading to the airport, the transfer via Central and the Airport Express took under 15 minutes including walking time—super smooth. Breakfast is redeemable at a nearby café, and don’t miss the bakery across the street—the one that opens at 8:00 AM. It’s the earliest option by far (others open at 9:00), and their pastries are fresh and delicious. There's also a 7-Eleven right next door for late-night snacks or essentials. The room itself is spacious with no feeling of being cramped. The smart water dispenser and excellent coffee machine made mornings special. I stayed two nights, and housekeeping came in promptly—no hassle at all. The HK$1,000 deposit is standard, but check-out was fast and efficient. Overall, this place offers incredible value for money, great location, and a warm, thoughtful touch. If you’re looking for a quiet yet central base in Hong Kong, especially if you love convenience and local charm, this hotel is a must-try.
