Upon arrival, the lobby made a strong impression: high ceilings, clean lines, and a sophisticated yet welcoming design. Check-in was smooth and efficient, handled by friendly staff who were attentive without being intrusive—even with a busy lobby, they made me feel valued and welcome. My room was on a higher floor, offering panoramic views of the Manchester skyline through floor-to-ceiling windows—truly breathtaking, especially at night. The bed was incredibly comfortable, with crisp linens and plush pillows that made waking up a real pleasure. The room itself was well-equipped with all the essentials you’d expect from a premium property: a large flat-screen TV, iron and ironing board, mini-fridge, safe, and a spacious desk with excellent lighting—ideal for work or late-night reading. The bathroom was spotless, modern, and stocked with quality toiletries, though the shower water pressure could have been stronger. What really stood out were the facilities. The health club and spa are a major highlight—spacious pool, fully equipped gym, and relaxing sauna and steam room. I used the sauna after a long day of sightseeing and it was exactly what I needed to unwind. The Executive Lounge offered a peaceful retreat with a great selection of refreshments and light bites—perfect for unwinding or catching up on work in a calm setting. I stayed in two different room types: once in a king room with a freestanding bathtub, where soaking in the tub while gazing at the cool dark blue mosaic wall was an unexpected highlight; the other time in a twin room with a well-designed shower-only bathroom – clean, spacious, and practical. The interior art is modern impressionist style, adding a stylish touch throughout the space, and the large TV screen really elevates the room – a small screen would’ve ruined the vibe. Best of all? Just turn left out the front door and you’re at the light rail station – super convenient for getting around. Yet, it’s also just a short walk to the lively city centre, perfect for those who want to explore Manchester on foot. I’ve heard there’s another Leonardo near Piccadilly Station, so I’ll definitely check it out next time, but this central location hits the sweet spot – relaxed, well-connected, and effortlessly chill. A great choice for travellers who want comfort without the hassle.

Even better? I drank two bottles of water during my stay, but there was no charge—definitely a bonus I didn’t see coming! That said, there are a few small areas that could be improved. The blue bed runner sheds lint quite noticeably, leaving bits on the sheets—something worth addressing. Room amenities like bedding and towels could also be upgraded for better quality and comfort. Also, some beverages in the fridge require a bottle opener, but I couldn’t find one among the room supplies. A simple addition of a compact opener would go a long way. Overall, this place truly stands out. With its stylish ambiance, excellent service, and attention to guest experience, it’s clear the team cares deeply about what they do. Wishing them continued success—can’t wait to return!
