Holiday Inn Chengdu Oriental Plaza

This family-friendly gem was the perfect choice for our 5-day trip to Chengdu—we stayed here for three nights and wouldn’t change a thing. The two rooms were spacious and incredibly comfortable, giving us plenty of room to relax after a full day of exploring. Right outside the door is a metro station, making it super easy to get around town—though we did hit some traffic when hailing taxis during rush hour. The real highlight? Walking distance to Taikoo Li. No need to squeeze onto buses or trains—just stroll over and enjoy shopping, dining, and wandering at your own pace. The cleanliness throughout the hotel was impressive—hallways and rooms were spotless, and the housekeeping staff were thoughtful and attentive. Breakfast was a standout: diverse, delicious options every day, with rotating menus that kept things fresh. Both adults and kids left happy and full. If we come back to Chengdu, this will be our first stop again. A truly great stay!

Check-in was quick, smooth, and professional, and they even proactively shared details about the laundry service and breakfast hours—such a thoughtful touch. Later in the evening, I had a small issue upon returning to the hotel, and reaching out for help was the best decision. They responded instantly with genuine care and enthusiasm, never once showing frustration. Their dedication made the entire trip feel more relaxed and enjoyable. The hotel itself is quiet, well-maintained, and conveniently located near public transit. It’s clear that guest comfort is a top priority here. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Chengdu.

This was my first stay at Chengdu Tianfu Plaza Haoiar Hotel, and it completely changed my perception of the city for the better. I was especially impressed by the cinema-themed room — the design is unique and stylish, exactly my kind of vibe. After checking several options, I chose this hotel mainly because of its unbeatable location: the metro entrance is right at the building’s doorstep, making it super easy to reach places like People's Park and the local museum. Breakfast was outstanding — abundant, fresh, and included handmade wontons and authentic bean curd pudding. The bathroom was well-maintained with perfect water temperature and strong shower pressure. But honestly, what stood out most was the bed — incredibly comfortable, with plush pillows that made for a restful night’s sleep. I actually considered buying the same set! Plus, the room had zero unpleasant odors upon entry — just clean, fresh air. Overall, an exceptional experience with great value and attention to detail. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Chengdu.

The hallway just outside the door is stunning, with traditional Sichuan embroidery cushions paired beautifully with Ming-style furniture, instantly creating a timeless, immersive atmosphere. Staff were exceptional—front desk team members Xiao Fu and Qin Qin were warm, attentive, and professional, and the restaurant staff were equally friendly and helpful. Every interaction felt personal and genuine. This place offers such a special blend of elegance, comfort, and cultural charm. I’d definitely come back to this hotel on my next trip to Chengdu.

I loved that the lobby had authentic Sichuan snacks and seasonal hampers, and across the street is Wenshu Fang, a lively food alley with evening street stalls starting at 4 PM. The overhead showerhead seemed to need descaling, but again, it didn’t detract from the stay. Breakfast offerings were solid, though the pastries leaned on the sweeter side, and the freshly squeezed juice wasn’t prepared in front of guests—leading me to wonder if it was truly fresh or pre-made (it did show slight separation). I also missed seeing small wontons on the menu, but these minor points don’t overshadow the bigger picture. The ambiance, service, and attention to detail are top-notch.
