The Capitol Hotel Tokyu

The Capitol Hotel Tokyu stands out as one of the most value-for-money luxury hotels I've stayed at in Tokyo. Located right in the heart of the government district, it offers excellent security and unbeatable convenience. The hotel is directly connected to Roppongi Station (a quiet, rarely crowded station), making commuting smooth and stress-free. For shopping, just hop on the Ginza Line to Sanyo-mae Station—just a short walk from the Sanyo Department Store's Nihonbashi branch, where tax refunds are quick and hassle-free. A taxi to Isetan Shinjuku costs around ¥2,500, which is reasonable. There’s also a convenience store in the underground passage linking to the station—but note it’s not open 24 hours. Breakfast is a highlight: the Japanese-style meal is prepared by the hotel’s in-house restaurant, Mizuran, and delivers top-quality flavors that leave you truly satisfied. Just remember to order by 10:00 AM. Overall, this hotel is ideal for business travelers, shoppers, or those exploring nearby attractions. With great dining options and the ability to reserve private rooms for client dinners or gatherings, it’s a perfect blend of comfort, location, and service. Truly exceptional.

SHIBUYA STREAM HOTEL

Staying at this hotel was a real highlight! As part of the Tokyu group, it definitely lives up to expectations. Compared to the more established Shibuya Excel Hotel, SHIBUYA STREAM feels much newer with thoughtful touches throughout. I was impressed by the in-room amenities—everything from skincare products to even hair serum was provided, which shows great attention to detail. The bathtub is surprisingly deep, perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring Tokyo. And the convenience of having a small, dedicated dining option right on the ground floor? Absolutely unbeatable. Whether you're craving a quick bite or just want something simple and fresh, it's all just steps away. This place strikes the perfect balance between modern comfort, practicality, and charm—definitely a top pick for anyone visiting Shibuya.

Tokyu Stay Shinjuku Eastside

Staying at Tokyu Stay Shinjuku Eastside was a fantastic experience. The location is unbeatable—right across from a bus stop that goes straight to Shibuya or Shinjuku, and just a 5-minute walk to the subway station. Getting around Tokyo couldn’t be easier. The room was surprisingly spacious—two 28-inch suitcases fit perfectly, and there was still plenty of room to move around. The bathroom even had a bathtub, which was a nice touch after a long day of exploring. The hairdryer was excellent—powerful and fast-drying. I asked the front desk if they sold it, but unfortunately they don’t. Still, the overall value and comfort made this stay a standout. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Tokyo.

Tokyu Stay Shinjuku

Staying at Tokyu Stay Shinjuku was an absolute delight from start to finish. The front desk staff greeted me warmly and efficiently, setting a great tone right away. The room itself is spacious, bright, and immaculately clean—every detail feels thoughtfully designed. The large TV with 4K channels delivers stunning picture quality, making it perfect for relaxing evenings. The shower system is top-notch—strong water pressure and excellent temperature control. The air conditioning paired with an effective air purifier keeps the room fresh and comfortable; I especially appreciated being able to open the window for natural ventilation when desired. Practical touches like the in-room washer and microwave made my stay even more convenient. I also loved the complimentary coffee machine in the lobby—starting the day with a fresh brew was pure bliss. Getting here is super easy: exit JR Shinjuku Station from the East Square entrance, walk toward Isetan, and once you see the LV boutique, you’re just about 100 meters away. Take the Toei Subway to Shinjuku-sanchome, exiting through either C3 or C4—the closest access points. Everything you need—from dining and shopping to essentials—is within walking distance, including a 7-Eleven right downstairs. This hotel offers unbeatable convenience and comfort. The hotel’s design stays true to the Peninsula’s signature elegance: timeless, sophisticated, and quietly luxurious. While some areas show signs of age and could benefit from a refresh, the service remains consistently exceptional—attentive, discreet, and genuinely warm. I especially loved the bath amenities; the shower gel had a subtle, refreshing scent that made every moment in the bathroom feel like a little retreat. Shangri-La Tokyo

Staying at Shangri-La Tokyo was an absolute delight. The location is incredibly convenient—just steps from the subway station, making it easy to explore anywhere in Tokyo, even on rainy days. The direct link to Marui Department Store means shopping is effortless and comfortable. Taxis are readily available just outside the hotel entrance. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout our stay. One minor note: the view toward Mount Fuji is beautiful when the weather permits, but the train tracks nearby do produce some noise, even at higher floors. That said, it’s a small trade-off for such a prime location and exceptional service. Overall, this hotel delivers on comfort, convenience, and value—definitely planning to return.

The Westin Tokyo

Staying at The Westin Tokyo was an absolutely fantastic experience. The room was spacious and immaculately clean, with plush bedding that made for a restful night's sleep. The staff went above and beyond—when we requested connecting rooms for our family, they handled it seamlessly, and even provided extra bottled water and children’s pillows without hesitation. The location is unbeatable: the hotel connects directly to underground walkways leading to Ebisu Garden Place and the subway station. From here, getting to Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ginza, or simply strolling around the neighborhood is incredibly easy. Whether you're exploring the city or just relaxing nearby, everything feels within reach. It's clear this hotel values guest comfort and convenience. I’ll definitely be choosing The Westin Tokyo again on my next trip to Tokyo.

Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi

Staying at Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi for the second time, and I’m still completely in love with this place. It’s now my top choice in Tokyo — the service is thoughtful and attentive without ever feeling intrusive. This time, I upgraded to a Deluxe Suite on the highest floor, directly facing the Imperial Palace. The view is absolutely breathtaking: panoramic cityscapes during the day, and magical nighttime views from the bathtub right by the window. The bathroom is spacious and fully separate, with premium fittings and an incredible layout that makes every moment feel luxurious. Room service is available 24/7 — breakfast delivered to your room costs the same as dining in-house, but I’d still choose delivery for the convenience and the generous fruit platter. The hotel’s VITRU bar on the lobby level is ranked among Asia’s Top 50 — designed with inspiration from a renowned Parisian bar, it has a sophisticated French aesthetic, excellent cocktails, and surprisingly reasonable prices. Guests can walk in easily, no hassle. Location-wise, while it’s not right next to the subway station (it’s on top of Otemachi Station, owned by Mitsui), getting to Tokyo Station is just a quick ride, and Silver Street is within 10 minutes by taxi. Plus, Otemachi itself is incredibly well-connected — way more convenient than areas like Azabu. Even though the hotel has been open a few years, everything still feels brand new, clean, and impeccably maintained. No signs of wear, just top-tier quality throughout. If you want a quiet, elevated urban retreat in central Tokyo with unbeatable views and exceptional service, this is it.

The breakfast spread was fantastic—diverse options including both Japanese and Western dishes, all fresh and delicious. It’s clear this hotel cares about every detail. I’d absolutely stay here again next time I visit Tokyo—it’s a top-tier experience from start to finish.

Check-in was smooth and efficient, located on the 5th floor. The garden on the 4th floor offers a peaceful retreat amidst the city bustle, perfect for a quiet moment.
