Since then, it’s become our go-to retreat, and this past August we stayed for three weeks, feeling completely at home. Halil, Suzanne’s husband, runs the adjacent restaurant and serves up what might be the best pide (Turkish flatbread) in the village—authentic, delicious, and so good you’ll want to lick your fingers. The staff go above and beyond, always friendly and eager to help. The location is perfect—right in the heart of the village, steps away from everything. Even with loud bars closing late at night, the double-glazed windows keep the sound out completely, so the rooms stay peaceful and quiet. Staying here feels like returning to your own home.
