Staying at Renartiss Isaakiy in Saint Petersburg was a fantastic experience. One thing to note: there’s a mandatory 350 rubles per person immigration registration fee upon departure, and it must be paid in cash. We recommend bringing some cash just in case. We stayed overnight at the Aparthotel Vertical in St. Petersburg, booking the Popova apartment for a team of seven athletes plus our coach. The kitchenette is fully equipped with a sink, stove, refrigerator, microwave, kettle, cutlery, and a complete set of dishes—including dessert plates, dinner plates, and a salad bowl—for everyone. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Bed linens were crisp white and fresh, and the pillows and duvet provided great comfort. One small note: the upper-level bedrooms felt a bit warm during the night. Adding an air conditioner or installing a skylight-style window could help improve ventilation. The hotel also features a Belgian restaurant with an impressive selection of Belgian beers. You can access it either from inside the building or directly from the street—a convenient touch.
