The bedding was clean and fresh with no odd smells, and the pillows offered just the right balance of softness and support—woke up feeling well-rested. The bathroom, though small, was spotless and efficiently maintained. Hot water came on instantly with consistent temperature, which made morning routines comfortable. Free Wi-Fi was strong and reliable—perfect for streaming videos and working remotely without interruptions. Located just a short walk from convenience stores, local snacks, and restaurants, everything you need is within easy reach. For a hotel in this category, cleanliness, convenience, and attentive service are all top-notch. It’s rare to find such a solid experience at this price point. If I’m ever back in Xiamen, this will definitely be my first choice again.

Urba Hotel (Sea World Gulangyu Wharf)

Staying at Urba Hotel was a great experience, especially for travelers heading to Gulangyu Island. The hotel is just a short walk from Dongdu Passenger Terminal and the metro station, making it super convenient for ferry transfers. While the room amenities are a bit dated, cleanliness and hygiene were excellent—everything felt fresh and well-maintained. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going the extra mile to ensure our stay was comfortable. Breakfast was a highlight—fresh, tasty, and varied, giving us a perfect start to each day. On the way to the terminal, we stumbled upon a small local eatery that’s clearly a favorite among residents. The food was fresh, affordable, and offered incredible value—so much so that we stopped by twice during our visit. When we passed by again on our way to the metro, the owner recognized us, waved hello, and even asked where we were headed—such genuine warmth and hospitality! It really made our trip feel personal and memorable. Highly recommend this hotel for both convenience and charm.

This place is absolutely perfect for a family getaway! We stayed in the family-friendly room, and it was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed—every little detail made a difference. Located right in the heart of the tourist area, everything we wanted to see was just a short walk away. Best of all? It's literally steps from the beach—waking up to the sound of waves was magical. This stay at Cheermay Hotel in Xiamen Airport Wuyuanwan was absolutely fantastic. The front desk staff went above and beyond—so friendly and helpful, even upgraded my room without hesitation! I highly recommend the view room with its floor-to-ceiling windows and spacious private balcony. Perfect for a morning coffee, afternoon breeze, or just hanging out with laundry spread across the space. The bathroom is smartly designed with complete separation between the shower area and toilet—very clean and practical. Everything from bedding to amenities felt top-notch, and the breakfast buffet offered great variety and fresh quality. It’s rare to find such comfort and attention to detail in a hotel this close to the airport. I’ll definitely be back next time I visit Xiamen!

GreenTree Eastern Hotel (Xiamen Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street)

This was my second stay at this hotel, and as a local from southern Fujian, I’ve chosen it twice now when returning from Europe—just needing a quiet place to recover from jet lag. The experience was excellent: the room was spotless, spacious, and comfortably furnished. Its location is unbeatable—just a short walk to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street and the bustling Baishi Market, with everything you’d want within easy reach. What stood out most was the incredible value for money—this is one of the few genuinely affordable yet high-quality hotels in Xiamen. The room quality rivals that of established luxury options like Lujing Hotel, but at a fraction of the price. My first visit? I originally booked another hotel nearby, but when I arrived and saw the worn-out exterior, I immediately canceled. Later, I passed by this property and noticed the clean, modern look, so I decided to check in. The staff were incredibly welcoming—they personally showed me through several room types, which helped ease my concerns. Their genuine hospitality made all the difference. It’s clear they care about guest comfort. Definitely coming back next time—and I’ll recommend them to anyone visiting Xiamen.

From the moment you step into the lobby, the minimalist Japanese-inspired design with warm wood tones and soft ambient lighting instantly calms your mind, creating a serene, almost meditative atmosphere. The room itself is immaculately maintained: the smart toilet works flawlessly, the HD TV delivers crisp picture quality, and the Wi-Fi is lightning fast—no buffering during streaming or work calls. The bedding stands out—medium-firm mattress, perfectly balanced for comfort, and a down duvet that’s light yet cozy enough to keep you warm all night. Staff are attentive and helpful; they greeted us warmly, shared details about laundry facilities and breakfast timing, and even offered a thoughtful late-night bowl of hot porridge. Cleanliness is top-notch—the bathroom features full dry-wet separation, with spotless white tiles and no lingering chemical smell in the towels. The lobby lounge area is a real gem—quiet, tastefully designed, with complimentary aromatic tea and a peaceful vibe ideal for working remotely or meeting a friend. The only minor drawback? The room size is compact, around 20 sqm—opening a 28-inch suitcase leaves little walking space, so if you're traveling with a partner, you might need to take turns unpacking. But for travelers who mainly sleep here and spend days exploring the city, the layout is efficient and functional. Overall, an excellent choice with strong value for money.

Putian Hotel (Xiamen Mingfa Plaza)

Stayed at Putian Hotel (Xiamen Mingfa Plaza) and was genuinely impressed by the outstanding value for money. The room was surprisingly spacious—far bigger than expected for the price—and everything was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The new front desk staff member, Yu Ni, was absolutely fantastic—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Even when we weren’t sure how to ask our questions, she patiently guided us through everything. Location is excellent too—just a short walk from Xiamen Railway Station and surrounded by great dining options. I’ll definitely be booking here again on my next trip to Xiamen!
