This estate is absolutely massive—beyond the main building, it spreads across an entire hillside with a beautifully arranged cluster of villas (Xiangyuan) nestled among the trees. Just strolling in the sunshine felt like a mini escape from reality. The staff were proactive even before check-in, reaching out to ask about our preferences, and continued checking in throughout our stay—very attentive without being intrusive. From front desk to concierge, everyone responded quickly and warmly. We tried the yakitori dinner at Yiba and breakfast, both of which were delicious and well-prepared. Despite the surprisingly long corridors in the guest rooms—some of us joked we’d need a map to find our way back—the overall experience was outstanding. It’s not just a place to stay; it’s a peaceful retreat that made our weekend truly memorable.

Staying at No.26 Garden B&B in the West Lake area was a delightful experience overall. The location is super convenient—just a short walk to the scenic attractions and surrounded by great local eateries. The room itself isn’t huge, but it’s well-designed with clean lines and modern touches. Everything felt fresh and well-maintained, from the bedding to the bathroom fixtures. The air conditioning works like a dream—perfect for those warm summer nights. Cleanliness is top-notch: no dust, no odors, just spotless spaces. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, making check-in and check-out smooth. It’s a real hidden gem with excellent value for money. I’d definitely book here again on my next trip to Hangzhou.

Staying at Suyan Designer B&B was an absolute delight. Located just a short distance from Jiu Xi, the area is peaceful and surrounded by fresh, clean air—perfect for unwinding. The room I stayed in was a loft with a built-in projector that supports all major streaming apps, so movie nights were effortless and enjoyable. The bathroom was well-designed with a dry-wet separation and kept immaculately clean, with all essentials provided. One of the highlights? The on-site café on the ground floor where you can grab drinks and light snacks—no need to worry about supplies. The staff is attentive and available both during the day and night; any small issue was resolved quickly and kindly. Breakfast was included (see photo 1), and it was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. What really made the stay special was the resident cat, Tiger Girl—she’s friendly, curious, and often wandered into the room or even led guests around like a furry tour guide! Her presence added such warmth and charm to the whole experience. This place feels like a hidden gem in Hangzhou—calm, stylish, and full of character. Highly recommend for travelers who value comfort, quiet surroundings, and a personal touch.

Stayed in a tatami room for the first time and was genuinely impressed—much better than I expected! The room is spacious, spotlessly clean, and feels airy with fresh, crisp air. I slept really well through the night. There’s even a tea set in the room, and the layout is so elegant and calming. The real highlight was the ground floor common area—it’s completely surrounded by lush greenery, making it incredibly relaxing to just sit and unwind. The front desk staff were super friendly and attentive. The weather was perfect, and there are plenty of great local spots nearby to explore for food and sightseeing. A truly peaceful retreat with excellent value. Definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a serene getaway!

Staying at Hangzhou Xihu Banleng · Loushi was absolutely worth every minute and dollar. The location is perfectly balanced—quiet and peaceful, yet just a short walk from the bustling West Lake area. I appreciated how close it was to public transit without being overwhelmed by noise or crowds. The homestay itself has a beautifully curated blend of traditional Chinese aesthetics and modern minimalism—clean lines, thoughtful lighting, and cozy spaces that felt both serene and welcoming. My room was spacious, impeccably clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, making for a restful night’s sleep. The staff were warm and attentive, offering a homemade cup of tea upon arrival—a small touch that made a big difference. Breakfast was simple but delicious—freshly steamed buns and rice porridge made with care. It felt like a genuine home away from home. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat near one of China’s most iconic landmarks without sacrificing convenience, this place hits all the right notes. Highly recommend for travelers who value authenticity, comfort, and quiet charm.

I was in Hangzhou for a business trip and stumbled upon this hidden gem by chance—staying here for two nights was one of the best decisions I made. The property is not just a hotel but also a cozy tea house, perfect for meeting clients without leaving the premises, saving me precious time. From the moment I arrived, I was amazed—the place feels like stepping into a Monet painting, surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant colors that blend naturally. Every detail, from the cleanliness to the staff’s warm hospitality, shows thoughtfulness. It's rare to find such a peaceful retreat with excellent value. The location is easily accessible by metro, making it convenient for both work and relaxation. I’ll definitely be back next time I visit Hangzhou.

Staying at Guixiang Apartment (Binjiang Yintai Branch) was a fantastic experience. The room was spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and felt very fresh upon arrival. The layout is practical and spacious, with a large desk perfect for working remotely or handling business tasks. I especially appreciated the individual air conditioning unit—very convenient for personal comfort. Location-wise, it's unbeatable: just a short walk to my office, right next to the Yintai shopping district where dining, shopping, and entertainment are all within reach. There’s also a Hema supermarket nearby—great for grabbing groceries or daily essentials. Plus, the subway line 1 station is just steps away, making travel around Hangzhou super easy. Everything you need is close by, without compromising on comfort or quality. Highly recommend this apartment for both business travelers and those looking for a convenient, comfortable stay in a vibrant area.

This time in Hangzhou for hiking, I chose this guesthouse again—and it didn’t disappoint. The location is fantastic: just a short walk from the Zoo Bus Terminal, making travel super convenient. The place keeps that authentic Japanese minimalist vibe—clean, calm, and well-maintained. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, making me feel truly welcome. My favorite part? The area around Hupao Manlong Guiyu—it feels like a peaceful green oasis, almost like a hidden park. Right now, the trees are ablaze with autumn colors, creating such a magical atmosphere for walking or just relaxing. If you're visiting Hangzhou for nature and quiet charm, this is the perfect base. Highly recommend for both comfort and convenience.

Staying at Xiangwang West Lake Side Homestay was an absolute delight. The design is elegant and the place is spotlessly clean—my room on the third floor came with a bathtub, while my friend stayed in the second-floor Taoyao room, each named with poetic flair and uniquely styled. Natural light floods both rooms, making them feel bright and airy after a long day of sightseeing. What really stood out was the thoughtful touches: the host provided disposable bath bags and kept calming scented candles on the shelves—such a cozy, relaxing welcome. The rooftop room has a slanted ceiling, so if you're sensitive to that, consider another room type. Located just steps from Leifeng Pagoda and within easy walking distance to West Lake, the location couldn’t be better. Our hostess was warm and friendly, offering genuine local tips for nearby attractions. There’s also a rental service for electric scooters right in the courtyard—stylish, affordable, and way better than street-side options. From start to finish, the experience was flawless. I’ve already started planning my next visit. Highly recommend! 🌟

Absolutely loved my stay at this charming little gem! As a cat lover, I was instantly charmed by Xiaohei, the friendly black cat who greeted me with purrs and head bumps—so sweet and relaxed. The room design is beautifully minimalist with a wabi-sabi aesthetic, and the view from the window is stunning, especially when cherry blossoms drift gently outside. Breakfast was delicious and well-prepared, with fresh ingredients and a great variety. The host was incredibly warm and welcoming, always ready to help or chat. It’s rare to find such a peaceful, authentic vibe with excellent value for money. Easy access to downtown via subway makes it even more convenient. This place truly feels like home away from home—definitely going back!

This was my third stay at this hotel, and every visit has been just as relaxing and satisfying as the last. The location is unbeatable—right next to Fahjing Temple and Fahjing Temple, with Lingyin Temple and Fajixi Temple just a short walk away. Surrounded by lush greenery and the calming scent of incense, the atmosphere feels incredibly peaceful and energetically clean. The staff, especially the concierge, are warm, attentive, and always ready to help—making the entire experience stress-free and enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh fruit and tasty desserts. The room was spotless, well-equipped, and beautifully designed with a calm, modern aesthetic. It’s clear that attention to detail goes beyond just comfort—it’s about creating a truly restful retreat. I’m already looking forward to coming back next year.

This was hands down the best booking of our trip—booked early before prices went up, and the value for money was outstanding. Nestled on San Tai Mountain, the hotel offers a peaceful retreat with fresh air and stunning natural surroundings. The nearest bus stop is at Yu Qian Temple, but we actually preferred walking to Wugui Tan to try the rowboat ride—unfortunately, it was canceled due to weather, but we made up for it by taking a scenic water bus from Guo Zhuang Pier to Hua Gang Guan Yu. The views along the way were absolutely beautiful. After exploring Hua Gang Guan Yu, we returned via the Xiao Lian Qing Feng line from Su Di Pier, which dropped us right at Yu Qian Temple Station—perfect for heading back to the hotel. One small downside: limited food delivery options nearby, but overall, the experience was flawless. This place truly delivers comfort, convenience, and charm.
