I've stayed at countless hotels, but this one truly stood out. The front desk staff went above and beyond—friendly, genuine, and attentive from the moment I arrived. They upgraded my room for free, helped with luggage, even offered tea and a spare umbrella when it started raining. Their warmth wasn't forced; it felt natural and heartfelt. The breakfast was beautifully presented, fresh, and delicious. The hotel itself is quiet and well-maintained, with a peaceful vibe that makes it perfect for unwinding. Plus, there are several great dining options nearby, and it's just a short walk to public transit if you want to explore the city. Honestly, the service here made me feel like a guest, not just a customer. If you're looking for a relaxing, authentic stay in Hangzhou with incredible hospitality, this place is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back.

Staying at 1921Villa in Hangzhou’s Jiuxi Shibajian area felt like stepping into a peaceful retreat nestled among tea fields. The room was spacious with a lovely balcony overlooking lush green tea gardens—breathing in that fresh, earthy tea scent first thing in the morning was pure bliss. The hostess was not only charming but incredibly thoughtful; she handed me a freshly brewed coffee at checkout, perfect for sipping on the go. After two nights, I received a complimentary afternoon tea set with cake and coffee, plus a sweet nightcap dessert—small touches that made the stay feel personal. The shower had strong water pressure and heated up quickly, making for a relaxing post-walk soak. What really stood out was the breakfast service: I was heading out early around 7 AM, and the kitchen staff noticed me rushing off—they literally ran outside to hand me a steaming bowl of scallion oil noodles and fresh fruit. That level of care is rare! When it rained during our hike, the villa had umbrellas ready—no need to scramble for one. And the front desk staff even delivered snacks and desserts to my room in the rain. From start to finish, the experience felt warm, genuine, and welcoming—like being hosted by friends rather than staying at a hotel. If you love quiet, authentic stays surrounded by nature and thoughtful service, this place is a must-visit. Can’t wait to come back in spring when the new tea harvest begins.

This was my third stay at this hotel, and every visit has been just as relaxing and satisfying as the last. The location is unbeatable—right next to Fahjing Temple and Fahjing Temple, with Lingyin Temple and Fajixi Temple just a short walk away. Surrounded by lush greenery and the calming scent of incense, the atmosphere feels incredibly peaceful and energetically clean. The staff, especially the concierge, are warm, attentive, and always ready to help—making the entire experience stress-free and enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh fruit and tasty desserts. The room was spotless, well-equipped, and beautifully designed with a calm, modern aesthetic. It’s clear that attention to detail goes beyond just comfort—it’s about creating a truly restful retreat. I’m already looking forward to coming back next year.

I’m so sorry for the delay—I finally got around to writing this review after putting it off way too long! I’ve visited Hangzhou over a dozen times, and I still can’t help but fall in love with the quiet charm of West Lake. Yes, there’s traffic, taxis are hard to find, and no metro access—but somehow, that just adds to its peaceful, authentic vibe. This time, I stumbled upon an absolute gem: Longjing Xinqing Inn (West Lake Garden), located in Sihaijing. It’s slightly more accessible than some other spots along San Tai Mountain, with bus routes leading straight into the scenic area—huge plus for convenience. The moment I saw the place, I was blown away. Every photo is completely unedited—just real, natural shots—and honestly, the whole property looks like a postcard. The attention to detail, the tasteful design, the warm atmosphere—it’s clear the owner put their heart into every corner. Our ground-floor room had a little private courtyard, perfect for sipping tea under the afternoon sun. We even had a lovely chat with the host during breakfast—they’re genuinely kind and easy to talk to. They gifted us some local tea before we left, which meant a lot. Can’t wait to come back when spring arrives and the roses are climbing the stairs—this one’s definitely going on my list for a family visit!

Staying at this charming guesthouse was a highlight of my trip to Hangzhou. Located right in the heart of the Bailing Bridge homestay area, it’s just a 3-minute walk to the Beigao Peak cable car—perfect for heading straight up to the Temple of Wealth at the summit. From there, I enjoyed a peaceful downhill journey through Tao Guang Temple, Yong Fu Temple, and finally arrived at Lingyin Temple without the usual crowds at the main entrance. The hosts were incredibly warm and helpful, offering thoughtful tips about the route and local highlights. The property itself is nestled among tea fields with stunning 270-degree views, creating a serene atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer. It’s quiet, clean, and beautifully designed—ideal for a relaxing getaway. If you’re looking for an authentic, stress-free experience with great scenery and hospitality, this place is a must-visit.

Staying for two nights was an absolute delight! The property was spotlessly clean and well-maintained throughout our visit—every detail felt thoughtfully curated. Breakfast was a highlight: abundant, delicious, and fresh, with a warm cup of red bean soup that truly made the morning special. The front desk staff, Xiao Duo, went above and beyond—she kindly helped with our luggage, waited patiently even though we arrived late, and kept bringing us that comforting red bean soup until we no longer needed it. Her kindness and attention to detail were genuinely touching. Located just steps away from West Lake and Nan Shan Road, the ambiance is peaceful and relaxed, perfect for unwinding while exploring Hangzhou at your own pace. There’s a lovely, unhurried vibe here that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a quiet retreat amidst the city. I couldn’t ask for a better base for discovering the area. Definitely coming back, and I’ll be recommending this gem to everyone who asks about where to stay.

I came to Hangzhou solo for a quiet getaway and couldn’t have chosen a better place. The location is perfect—super close to the West Lake and other key spots, making it easy to explore on foot or by metro. From the moment I booked, the communication was warm and thoughtful, and the staff went above and beyond throughout my stay. The hostess and front desk team felt more like friends than service providers—kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. There’s a sweet little cat in the house that’s soft as a cloud and absolutely loves attention—so much so that I ended up taking dozens of photos! Petting her was instant therapy. The room itself is spotless, beautifully decorated with a serene, artistic vibe—every detail shows care and personal touch. It’s incredibly peaceful at night, almost silent, which made for a deeply restful sleep. Honestly, this place is now firmly on my must-return list. Oh, and the coffee? Way better than I expected—great quality, affordable, and way more convenient than nearby cafes. Definitely a hidden gem with unbeatable value.

Staying at this homestay was an absolute delight! The place is incredibly clean and well-maintained, and right when we walked into the room, the air conditioning was already on—so refreshing. The front desk staff was incredibly kind and helpful, always ready to offer local tips and recommendations with a warm smile. Location-wise, it’s perfect—just a short walk to Lingyin Temple and the Botanical Garden, making it easy to explore without needing a car. We also rented an electric scooter, which made getting around even more enjoyable. Plus, there’s convenient parking available if you’re driving. Everything about this stay felt thoughtfully designed—from the serene atmosphere to the thoughtful touches. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Hangzhou!

Staying at West Lake Roxanne felt like discovering a hidden gem tucked away in the heart of Hangzhou’s most serene corners. Nestled right across from Yuhu Bay—a quiet, lesser-known spot that feels like a secret escape—the property offers effortless access to iconic sights like Prince's Bay, Su Causeway, and Flower Harbor View, all just a short walk away. The vibe is peaceful, with the gentle embrace of San Tai Mountain nearby, making it feel like nature’s own retreat. With only 15 rooms, each one thoughtfully designed with unique character—my favorite was the starlit room with its skylight, where I spent an evening lounging in the bathtub, counting stars with my kids under a clear sky. Inside, top-tier air purifiers and eco-friendly toiletries add a layer of comfort and wellness. The ground floor has a cozy reading nook where I sipped coffee and lost myself in a novel. But the real highlight? The outdoor infinity pool with constant temperature—perfect for unwinding with friends, soaking in warm water while sipping wine as dusk settles over the lake. The staff are genuinely attentive, offering personalized breakfasts and thoughtful suggestions for off-the-beaten-path hikes like the route to Yunqi Bamboo Path or Jiu Xi. It’s rare to find such intimacy and quality in a boutique stay—especially when you’re so close to nature yet still within reach of city charm. If you’re after a peaceful, stylish, and truly memorable base to explore the quieter side of West Lake, this place is unforgettable. Just book early—it fills up fast, especially for those special rooms.

The atmosphere here is absolutely wonderful—stepping into the courtyard feels like entering a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. The host is incredibly warm and welcoming, going out of their way to help with local recommendations and transportation tips. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality made our stay truly memorable. The room features a charming vintage Republican-era design—elegant furnishings, soft lighting, and a cozy bed that made for perfect restful nights. It’s quiet, serene, and filled with character. Plus, it’s just a short metro ride away from West Lake, making it super convenient for sightseeing. This place offers such great value for the experience. If you're looking for a peaceful, authentic stay in Hangzhou, this is definitely worth considering.

Staying at West Lake Guishu Homestay was such a delightful experience. The location is perfect—just a 2-minute walk to the entrance of Hangzhou Botanical Garden, nestled in a lush, green neighborhood that feels like a quiet retreat right in the heart of the city. The surrounding area is beautifully landscaped with trees and pathways, giving that peaceful 'hidden gem' vibe. I loved how easy it was to explore—just hop on a bike and in under 15 minutes you’re at Lingyin Temple, ideal for day trips. The room itself was spotless, cozy, and well-maintained, with everything you’d need for a comfortable stay. The hostess was incredibly warm and welcoming, always smiling and ready to help. Plus, there’s a tiny adorable cat that lives at the front desk—it’s basically the official mascot! Watching it stretch, nap, or just gaze out at guests adds such a sweet, personal touch. This place truly blends comfort, nature, and charm. If you’re looking for a peaceful, authentic stay near top sights without the crowds, this is a must-try.

Staying here for two days was absolutely perfect. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from the Cai Shen Temple cable car entrance, so no need to worry about parking near Lingyin Temple. The room was quiet, cozy, and spotlessly clean with lightweight yet warm bedding that made it feel like home. The hostess even turned on the AC before I arrived—such thoughtful touches really stood out. On day one, I followed a scenic route from Cai Shen Temple down through Chongguang Temple, Yongfu Temple, all the way to Lingyin Temple without backtracking. I managed to catch the evening chanting ceremony, counted the arhats, and felt truly blessed by the serenity of it all. Day two started with a trip to Fajixi Temple, which is a bit farther away. The host kindly drove me there and later picked me up—no hassle at all. On the return, I took a local electric shuttle or walked through the Three Zhen temples, each step filled with history and beauty: from the Kangxi inscription at Sanmo Temple to the old pavilion where Li Shutong once meditated. I stopped by Fajing Temple to pick up some traditional mooncakes—locals swear by them. Then wandered through Fajing Temple’s sacred grounds and stood by the famous Sanyi Stone, pondering what “non-dual path” truly means. Back at Lingyin Temple’s Feilai Entrance, the highlight of the journey was eating at Pumeng Vegetarian Restaurant. It required a short wait, but every bite was worth it—fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Afterward, a quick 2-minute walk brought me back to the inn, where I relaxed with a cup of Jiuxiao Hongmei tea, played with the adorable cat in the courtyard, and admired the view of the first Cai Shen Temple. Two days flew by in peace and joy—this stay wasn’t just comfortable, it was deeply meaningful. I’ll definitely be back.
