I always visit Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou around the end of the year, and I’ve been staying at Shusheng Longjing Hotel for years—it’s become my go-to choice. The location is perfect: just a 10-minute bike ride to West Lake and only 8–10 minutes to Lingyin Temple, making it super convenient for exploring the area on two wheels. The surrounding trails and quiet streets make cycling or walking the best way to get around. The staff went above and beyond—before check-in, they reached out to help with transport tips and followed up afterward to see how we were enjoying our stay. Having a 24/7 concierge was a huge plus. And the breakfast? Fantastic. Since the hotel runs its own Chinese restaurant, the food is fresh, flavorful, and authentic. It’s not just a place to sleep—it feels like a home base for a peaceful, well-organized trip. Highly recommend for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and genuine hospitality.

We were incredibly lucky during the New Year holiday when the hotel upgraded our room at no extra cost—what a wonderful surprise! The accommodation was cozy and comfortable, even though the balcony felt a bit chilly. However, the view and overall atmosphere made it well worth it. The resort’s architecture is truly unique—each balcony feels like it’s nestled in a loft with a striking sloped design. Surrounded by serene mountain scenery, the property beautifully blends traditional elements: pavilions, bridges, and flowing waterways create a peaceful, almost dreamlike setting. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner on-site, and every meal was satisfying and delicious. It’s rare to find such charm, tranquility, and excellent service all in one place. A perfect getaway that exceeded all expectations.

Staying at Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou at West Lake was an absolute delight. While the property isn’t massive, its intimate size adds to the personalized experience. What truly stands out is the exceptional service—staff are attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with any request, no matter how small. The breakfast buffet may not have an overwhelming variety, but everything is fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. Dining at Jinsha Hall is a highlight—it's one of the top-tier restaurants in Hangzhou, offering both quality and elegance. Every detail reflects care and attention, making this stay unforgettable. I’d absolutely return without hesitation.

Staying at West Lake State Guesthouse was an absolute delight. The facilities exceeded my expectations—spacious, elegant, and thoughtfully designed with attention to detail. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful—always smiling, ready to assist, and going the extra mile to make your stay comfortable. Dining at Zhiwei Hall was another highlight. The food was excellent, with authentic flavors and beautiful presentation. While some dishes were on the pricier side, considering the quality, setting, and service, it felt justified. My family especially loved the taste of the signature dishes and kept raving about them afterward. Overall, this was a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and hospitality. A top-tier experience with outstanding value. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Hangzhou.

Absolutely exceeded my expectations! The room was spacious, bright, and immaculately clean—every detail felt thoughtfully designed. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, making for a restful night's sleep. Staff were friendly, efficient, and always ready to help without being intrusive. Location is perfect—just a short walk from local attractions and public transport, which made getting around so easy. At this price point, it’s hard to beat. This stay wasn’t just good—it was unforgettable. I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hangzhou.

The autumn in Jiangnan truly shines at Sisan Resort. From the moment I stepped in, I was wrapped in a serene and refined atmosphere—every corner of the hotel exudes character, with minimal crowds and an effortlessly calm vibe that’s perfect for a true staycation. The bathroom scent was subtle yet delightful, instantly setting a relaxing tone. The mini-bar was stocked with an impressive variety of snacks and drinks—perfect for late-night cravings or morning refreshments. But honestly, the highlight was the breakfast at Yueya Restaurant. It’s hands down the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had—endless options, beautifully presented, and each dish tasted thoughtfully crafted. I could’ve stayed there just for the food alone. The entire experience was flawless, and I couldn’t stop taking photos. Pure bliss. Definitely coming back.

I’ve always dreamed of experiencing the quiet elegance and poetic charm of West Lake, and staying at YAGU Resort Hangzhou truly exceeded my expectations. Nestled right by the lake, every view from the windows feels like a painting—morning mist drifting across the water, golden sunsets glowing over Leifeng Pagoda. The resort is surrounded by lush greenery and gentle trickling streams, creating a serene escape from city life. From check-in to checkout, the staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Special shoutout to Mr. He at reception—he went above and beyond, personally escorting me to my room while sharing fascinating insights about the property and nearby attractions. When a small issue came up during my stay, he handled it quickly and thoughtfully. Breakfast was a highlight: a well-curated mix of Chinese and Western options, with standout dishes like freshly made lotus root paste and Dingsheng cake—delicate, sweet, and perfect with a cup of Longjing tea to start the day. The on-site restaurant serves exquisite Jiangnan fusion cuisine. The signature fish head dish is a masterpiece—blending classic Hangzhou flavors with modern techniques, where the aroma of fresh fragrant bamboo shoots dances with the savory depth of ham. I also enjoyed afternoon tea at the lounge, set in a beautifully designed space with panoramic views. The rooms are a thoughtful blend of traditional Chinese garden aesthetics and smart technology. The wooden furnishings, soft lighting, and top-quality bedding (rumored to be from the renowned Kingsdown brand) made for an incredibly restful night’s sleep. Complimentary mini-bar, cozy reading nooks, and a tranquil tea lounge add to the peaceful vibe. I indulged in a spa treatment—the therapist was gentle and skilled, leaving me completely relaxed. Just steps away, the fitness center and indoor pool are spotless and well-equipped, ideal for staying active during a trip. What really sets this place apart is its incredible value. For a luxury experience this refined, the price point feels refreshingly accessible. Whether you're traveling as a couple, with family, or on business, there's something here for everyone. And bonus? The included 3 free professional photoshoots—stunning shots against the resort’s picturesque backdrop, expertly captured by a talented photographer. Staying at Shangri-La Hangzhou was an absolute delight from start to finish. The hotel exudes luxury and elegance, perfectly positioned right by West Lake—just a short walk to the water’s edge where you can enjoy peaceful strolls or take a boat ride whenever you feel like it. Nearby attractions like Yue Wang Temple and Gushan Island are easily accessible, making it ideal for exploring the area. The service here is exceptional—friendly, attentive, and professional. I appreciated the complimentary parking, though I did note the local odd-even license plate restrictions, so plan accordingly if driving. Rooms are immaculate, spotless, and beautifully designed with modern comforts. It’s worth mentioning that this property was formerly known as Hangzhou Hotel, a historic landmark on Beishan Road, now revitalized under the Shangri-La brand—a perfect blend of heritage and world-class hospitality. With great value for money and such a prime location, this is one of the best stays in Hangzhou I’ve experienced.

Staying at Zhejiang Narada Grand Hotel was an absolute delight. The location is unbeatable—right next to the metro station and just a short walk from West Lake, making it super convenient for exploring Hangzhou. We visited during New Year’s Eve, and the hotel staff, especially our personal concierge Sasha, went above and beyond—she upgraded us to a larger room without hesitation and handled all our requests promptly and warmly. The room itself was fantastic: top-notch amenities including Dyson hairdryers, premium toiletries, and a spacious bathtub that made relaxing effortless. The second-floor Sichuan restaurant is a real highlight—perfectly balanced spice level that suits local tastes. One minor note: the heating system in the room fluctuated a bit, and the shower drain could be slightly more efficient. But honestly, these are small tweaks for such a well-run, beautifully designed hotel with excellent service and value. I’d definitely come back.

Staying at this historic Hangzhou The New Hotel was an absolute delight. I booked the Dongzhuang Celebrity Room—"Felicity in Florence," named after Xu Zhimo—and it didn’t disappoint. The private balcony overlooks West Lake, offering breathtaking views, and the room’s design is rich with character and charm. The only minor downside? Not enough power outlets, but that’s a small trade-off for such a memorable stay. Staff across front desk and restaurant were incredibly attentive and helpful—always ready to assist with a smile. Breakfast was simple but spot-on: everything made in-house, from perfectly seared steaks to delicate wontons, juicy dumplings, and fresh salmon. It felt like a home-cooked meal with a luxury touch. For lunch, we dined at 1913 Restaurant—the signature West Lake Fish in Vinegar Sauce was outstanding, balanced and authentic. Our photographer from Xiao Wan Photography, Xiao Guo, was professional and passionate; my sister loved every single shot of her in traditional cheongsam. And then there’s Chen Bo, a true local with deep knowledge of Hangzhou’s history—he brought stories to life with warmth and humor. Despite its compact size, the hotel is full of hidden gems: every corner feels like a page from history, perfect for photos and quiet exploration. This staycation was pure bliss. I’d absolutely come back—not just for the location or views, but for the soul of the place. Next time, I’m trying another room in the Dongzhuang wing.

Staying at Pins De La Brume Hotel in Hangzhou was an absolute delight. The moment I stepped into the courtyard, I was greeted by a peaceful serenity that instantly relaxed me. The room was immaculately clean and offered a stunning view of the distant mountain-top temple — serene and picturesque. The underfloor heating kept the room perfectly warm without being too hot, and the air purification system ran quietly, so it never disturbed my rest. Staff at the front desk and my personal concierge were incredibly attentive and thoughtful — they made sure every need was met with genuine care. During New Year’s holiday, when ride-sharing and buses were restricted near the scenic area, the hotel arranged a shuttle to drop us off right at the entrance, which was incredibly convenient. Everything was seamless and well-organized. This place isn’t just comfortable — it’s truly special. A perfect blend of tranquility, luxury, and exceptional service. I’ll definitely be returning.
