Staying at Holiday Inn Shanghai Nanjing Road was an absolute delight! The staff, especially Violet and Leo at the front desk, were incredibly warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. From check-in to check-out, their professionalism and kindness made us feel truly welcomed. The room was spotless, quiet, and comfortably furnished—perfect for a relaxing stay after a day exploring the city. The location is unbeatable: stepping out the window, you’re greeted by the vibrant energy of Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, with its dazzling lights and bustling atmosphere. We visited during New Year’s Day, and the festive vibe added extra magic to the experience. This hotel offers excellent value and convenience in one of Shanghai’s most iconic areas. I’d absolutely choose this property again on any future trip to Shanghai.

Staying at Shanghai Miller Villa Hotel felt like stepping into a fairy tale—rich in history and charm from the moment you walk in. The exterior might not scream 'new and flashy,' but inside, everything has that timeless elegance of old-money quality—the bedding was incredibly comfortable, making for a restful night's sleep. Even small details like the hairdryer, flooring, and seating had a refined, classic touch. Breakfast was simple but satisfying, and the short castle tour offered surprising insights and fun facts. I did have a slight disappointment with the terrace, but the front desk made up for it by giving me a little magnet as a thoughtful gift. Honestly, I couldn’t ask for more—this place strikes the perfect balance between heritage, comfort, and genuine hospitality. Would absolutely return.

Shanghai Xujiahui A.T.HOUSE Jia Di Hotel

Walking out of the metro station and turning the corner brings you right to the door—super convenient. The hotel is just steps away from Xujiahui Cathedral and Xujiahui Library, with luxury shopping hubs like Hongkong Plaza and Meiluo City nearby. If you're heading to Shanghai Stadium or Sports Arena for a concert, it's only one stop on the metro—or even easier, a short walk or bike ride away. This A.T.HOUSE property has that modern art vibe I love. The second-floor afternoon tea lounge and late-night dining spot are both stylish and inviting. The pastries are delicious, and the chicken soup wontons as well as the pork-filled dumplings are seriously satisfying. I was originally booked into a room type that wasn’t available yet, but the team kindly upgraded me to a Premium Suite—huge upgrade in space, view, and design. Everything felt thoughtfully curated. I ordered fresh fruit platters after my concert, and they arrived at my door in no time. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and the service throughout was top-notch. Even at check-out, they handed me a lovely souvenir—a large record-shaped biscuit box that’s both cute and tasty. If there’s another concert in town, this will be my go-to hotel again.

My wife and I stayed at Park Hyatt Shanghai for one night, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The café on the 87th floor is a real gem; sitting there with a view of the Huangpu River was unforgettable. Special thanks to Ms. Zhou Liping, who went above and beyond with her warm and attentive service—always checking in, helping out, and making us feel truly cared for. The front desk staff were equally welcoming and efficient, creating a seamless check-in experience. From start to finish, the level of hospitality was outstanding. It’s rare to find such genuine warmth and attention to detail. We left feeling completely at home, and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Shanghai.

No need to repeat anything—I felt genuinely seen and understood. The grand atrium is stunning without being overwhelming; it’s spacious, elegant, and instantly calms you down as soon as you enter. Check-in was smooth and natural, not robotic or overly scripted. Inside the room, the view was absolutely breathtaking—especially at night, when the city lights stretch endlessly beyond the glass. It’s easy to just stand there and lose yourself in the moment. What stood out most was how well-coordinated the entire team was. There were no awkward handoffs or repeated explanations—everyone seemed to be on the same page. On departure day, I wasn’t in a rush, and the front desk staff, particularly Luya, kindly arranged a late check-out with zero pressure. Ginco Hotel

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient—just a 5-minute walk to PAC and about 10 minutes to Jing'an Temple. The entrance isn’t very obvious, but once you step into the lobby, it feels like stepping into a hidden oasis with a calm, elegant vibe. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary suite upgrade—huge space, beautifully designed, and super comfortable. The bed and pillows made for an excellent night’s sleep. I was actually worried I wouldn’t get to try the traditional Chinese healing massage, but the therapist had time right before check-out. It was such a relaxing experience—my back felt so much better afterward. This little gem truly delivers on comfort, service, and unexpected touches. Definitely worth staying at again.

Absolutely stellar—each bite had distinct layers of texture and taste, reminding me of the ones I had in Paris. It’s rare to find such a high-quality experience in a city as busy as Shanghai. This stay exceeded all expectations—10/10, and I’d definitely come back without hesitation.

The room itself was immaculately clean, with plush bedding and pillows that made for one of the best nights’ sleep I’ve had in a long time. Soundproofing was excellent—no noise disturbances at all during the night. The bathroom featured a smart dry-wet separation design, and the heating system kept the room cozy and warm throughout. The lobby has a modern, calming vibe with thoughtful details everywhere. The front desk staff were genuinely warm and attentive, always ready to help without being intrusive—so considerate! Location is excellent: just a short walk to the World Expo site and easily accessible to Lujiazui via subway. Everything about this stay felt seamless and premium. I’ve stayed at several Atour properties before, and this one stands out as one of the best. Definitely my go-to choice for future trips to Shanghai.

MaxX By Steigenberger on the Bund Shanghai

Staying in this historic building is such a unique experience—there’s something special about the charm of old architecture. The 1st floor room, especially, felt spacious and elegant, with a nice touch of character that made it stand out. I’d definitely stay here again on my next trip to Shanghai. The view from the 20th floor is absolutely breathtaking—especially at night. Sitting by the window with a drink in hand, watching the lights of the Bund sparkle across the river, it felt like pure relaxation. The service was exceptional too—ice cubes and towels arrived within minutes, and staff even helped carry luggage. Fast, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive. For me, great hotel service makes all the difference, and this place nails it. A fantastic stay with incredible value, highly recommended!
