If it’s 10°C outside, it’s 10°C inside—especially in Room D, where we spent two nights bundled up in full clothes under blankets, shivering during an Arctic blast that hit New Orleans. When we checked out at 6 AM, the host popped his head out the window to ask if everything was fine. We politely told him: No, not exactly the trip of a lifetime. Our Uber driver, who witnessed the scene, burst out laughing, saying this place is famously terrible. The only thing we’ll never forget?
