We were initially booked through our tour group, but after experiencing the excellent service and comfort at Chunchen Hotel, we decided to book additional nights directly. The staff, especially a young lady at the front desk, was incredibly friendly and attentive—she even proactively arranged a room facing the quiet courtyard, knowing we were concerned about sleep quality. The room itself was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with modern amenities. The hotel’s overall ambiance is calm and welcoming, located just steps away from Kunming Railway Station and Wanda Plaza, making it super convenient for exploring the city. Breakfast can get busy in the morning, so splitting the dining area into two smaller sections would help reduce crowding. Overall, this place exceeded our expectations—great value, top-notch service, and a peaceful stay. We’ll definitely be returning.

After careful research, I chose this hotel—and I couldn’t be happier. From Kunming South Railway Station, I took Line 1 to Line 5, got off at Mili Temple Station (Exit G), and walked through a quiet alleyway—just a few minutes away. The location is incredibly convenient, especially for those relying on public transit. This hotel is part of Yunnan Provincial Training Center, and the atmosphere is both elegant and serene. Everything from housekeeping to front desk service felt professional and thoughtful. I arrived late on the second night after a long journey—outside was freezing cold—but inside, the lobby was warm and welcoming. The staff kindly offered free hot porridge and ginger tea to help ward off the chill. It instantly made me feel at home. Inside the room, attention to detail stood out: complimentary tea bags (green and black), a disposable toilet seat cover, and slippers that were sanitized and sealed in plastic wrap. Even the toothbrush and cotton slippers were high-quality. Breakfast started at 7 a.m. and was outstanding—offering a wide range of options from traditional Chinese dishes to Western-style fare. I especially loved the local specialties: rice noodles made from Yunnan red rice, er si, and fresh mi xian, all served with thoughtfully prepared toppings. For travelers from the north, there were also hearty noodle dishes with rich zhajiang sauce and crispy golden fried eggs—perfectly delicious. There were also salads and fresh fruits for health-conscious guests. Overall, the balance between comfort, cleanliness, and personalized touches made this stay unforgettable. Highly recommended.

The room itself was modern and well-equipped, featuring a voice assistant and a robot delivery service—such a fun and convenient feature! The mattress is from Muzhi, and honestly, it’s one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable—right next to the train station and metro, just steps away from Wanda City, and super close to Nancheng Street and Kunming Old Town. The highlight has to be the barbecue area—freshly marinated meats, prepared on-site, were incredibly flavorful and juicy. It felt so special knowing they’re made fresh, not pre-packaged. Plus, it’s pet-friendly, which made our trip even more enjoyable with our furry friend by our side. This place truly offers a perfect blend of comfort, nature, and hospitality. I’d absolutely return and recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, authentic escape in Kunming.

The staff at the front desk were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering local tips and making us feel welcomed. One major plus: parking right outside the entrance is super convenient—no parking vouchers or hassle at all. Grand Park Kunming

Staying just one night, but it felt like a perfect escape. The location is fantastic—easy access to downtown by metro, and best of all, no crowds at all. Traveling off-peak truly lets you enjoy the city at your own pace. The service here was exceptional, especially from Alan at reception. He upgraded my room for free upon check-in, and when I mentioned wanting to try the sauna, he not only confirmed we had a private steam room but went the extra mile to arrange it just for me. Turns out the facility is usually only opened when there are guests booking in, so having it reserved exclusively for me was a real surprise—and a wonderful touch. It made the whole experience feel personal and special. Definitely worth every penny, and I’ll be back.
