That’s when the team stepped in with kindness: they proactively arranged a room transfer to the quieter Water Pavilion area, which made such a difference. To top it off, they brought me a warm bowl of soft, comforting congee with light side dishes right before bedtime. It wasn’t just food—it felt like care. I upgraded my room, and over three days, the service remained consistently attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. Our New Year’s trip with my mom and grandmother was absolutely perfect. Since we were traveling with an 83-year-old, convenience and comfort were top priorities—especially easy access to public transit and rooms with two queen beds. After checking several options, the Sheraton Xiamen on Jiahua Road stood out as the ideal choice. It’s just a short walk from two metro stations, and there are bus stops nearby for easy access to various destinations. SM City Plaza is within walking distance—great for dining and shopping. Special thanks to Jerry for upgrading us to a quieter room at the end of the corridor; it was peaceful and noise-free, which made for excellent rest, especially for our elderly family members. Our booking included breakfast for two, but Jerry kindly arranged an extra breakfast for my grandmother—delicious and well-balanced, with authentic local flavors that changed slightly each day. The bathroom design was exceptional: spacious, functional, and completely leak-proof—a rare find! My mom and I were both truly impressed. This stay exceeded expectations in every way.

Listening to their life story—how they built this place from the ground up in Xiamen—was truly inspiring. Their journey from Wujing Mountain and Sea Camp to the current retreat isn’t just a business; it’s a living testament to the resilience and spirit of Minnan culture. This isn’t something you read in a museum or see in a documentary—it’s real, raw, and deeply human. The setting itself feels like stepping into a Studio Ghibli film: quiet, poetic, and effortlessly beautiful. Walking through the garden, you’re greeted by lush green lawns, playful dogs running free, and endless views of the ocean stretching beyond the horizon—all natural, unforced, and full of soul. And then there’s the food: Auntie’s slow-cooked pig stomach lotus root soup, and the rustic charcoal-fired rice—simple yet profoundly comforting. Every bite reminded me why I love traveling. The family is genuinely kind, full of heart, and each member adds their own charm—especially the older brother trying so hard to impress (and succeeding!). As part of the Hilton family, the hotel offers reliable quality and service. Located right next to the historic Xiamen Old Tea Factory, the subtle aroma of roasted tea drifts through the open window every now and then—really adds character to the stay. The surrounding area has plenty of amenities, making it ideal for both business trips and leisure visits. With excellent value for money and a peaceful, unique atmosphere, this place is definitely worth returning to.
