Xiongmao Chenchen E-Sports Hotel (Kunming Ruidingcheng)

Staying here for around $300 was a decent deal overall, and the location is super convenient—easy to reach by metro. The room was clean and well-maintained, with a smart bathroom design featuring dry-wet separation, and the bed sheets were fresh and comfortable. The amenities were functional but not brand new—just average in condition. I was excited about the "all-in-one Xiao Ai" smart system, but most commands didn’t work online, making it feel more like a basic setup than a real smart experience. Also, I saw on social media that there’s a fridge in the room, but there wasn’t one when I arrived—big issue during summer, especially since the gaming PC kept overheating. The worst part? As an e-sports hotel, I experienced multiple crashes and restarts while playing PUBG and CS2 between 5 PM and midnight—easily over six times. I came specifically to try GTA V, but couldn’t even launch the game after spending three hours troubleshooting error messages. In the end, I never got to play. That said, if the game library and technical performance were better maintained, this place would be an absolute steal. For now, it’s still a solid option for gamers who don’t mind a few hiccups.
