This stay was absolutely fantastic! The hotel is perfectly located near the shopping district, making it super convenient for both dining and exploring local boutiques. The room was immaculately clean—spotless from top to bottom—and I especially appreciated that there was no lingering odor, which is a common issue for me. The heating worked wonderfully, keeping the room cozy and warm throughout the night. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and I slept so well, waking up feeling refreshed. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful—always smiling, quick to assist with any request. For the price, this place offers incredible value. It’s rare to find such a well-located, clean, and welcoming hotel at this rate. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Urumqi, and I’ll definitely be coming back.

Mooring Youth Hostel (Xinxing Street Subway Station)

Staying at Mooring Youth Hostel near Xinxing Street Metro Station in Urumqi was a solid choice for budget travelers. The location is excellent—right next to the metro and bus stops, making it super convenient to explore the city. The beds were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful, even organizing group activities that made it easy to meet fellow travelers. That said, the dorm rooms can get noisy, especially during quieter hours, so if you're sensitive to noise, you might want to request a quieter room. The shared bathrooms are quite small, and while they’re generally kept tidy, the hallway cleaning could be improved—there’s room for more frequent upkeep. Some of the facilities feel a bit dated, but overall, the value isn’t bad for the price. If you’re traveling solo on a budget and looking to keep things simple with a social vibe, this hostel is definitely worth a try.

The front desk manager, Zhati, went above and beyond—he personally added me on WeChat, offered complimentary afternoon tea, and even gave me a small gift. Any questions I had were answered promptly and warmly. On my second day, I returned to my room to find fresh fruit and pastries already waiting—such a thoughtful touch! It’s clear the team genuinely cares about guest experience. From location to comfort to attention to detail, everything was top-notch. This place is perfect for both business and leisure travelers, and I’d definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!
