Stayed at Suyuan Hotel during my visit to Suzhou, and I was genuinely impressed. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming—when they noticed we had a young child, they proactively offered us a larger twin room with plenty of space, which made our family stay much more comfortable. The room facilities were standard but well-maintained; the bathtub was a big hit with my little one, who spent ages splashing around. The air conditioning worked perfectly—the temperature was just right for autumn, so we didn’t need to crank it up too high. One of the highlights was the large koi pond in the courtyard, where we could buy fish food and feed the colorful fish. My child loved it and couldn’t stop smiling while watching them swim. The entire place was clean and well-kept with no lingering odors or hygiene issues. Overall, this is a great value-for-money option, especially for families. I’d definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Suzhou.

I booked this hotel for a friend, and they were really impressed with the stay! While the building might look a bit dated, the practicality more than makes up for it. Parking was a big plus—ample spots both above and below ground, and the process was simple: just scan your parking voucher at reception. Everything ran smoothly. This was my fourth visit to Metropolo Jinjiang Hotel in Suzhou, and I can confidently say it’s become my go-to choice for every trip here. The value for money is outstanding, and the location couldn’t be better—right next to Tuanjieqiao Metro Station on Line 4, making travel from the train station a breeze. This time, I drove myself and appreciated the complimentary parking, which made the whole experience even more convenient. The hotel’s new dining area offers a much richer breakfast selection than before, and you get great quality without breaking the bank. My wife used to only stay at five-star hotels, but after retirement, we started budgeting carefully—and during one of our stays here, we were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and well-appointed the standard room felt. It easily matched the comfort of many four-star properties we’ve stayed at. Since then, this has been our consistent choice whenever visiting Suzhou. Nearby, there’s a self-service restaurant with clean, fresh food and rotating daily menus—plus, meals are half-price after 7 PM, which is a fantastic deal. I also want to highlight the free laundry room, which comes with detergent and disinfectant spray. It’s such a thoughtful touch, especially when traveling with luggage. The front desk staff were friendly and efficient—check-in and check-out went smoothly, and they patiently answered all my questions with genuine care. The room itself was spotless, with soft bedding that made for a restful night’s sleep. Noise insulation was excellent, so no disturbances from outside or neighboring rooms. The air conditioning and hot water worked perfectly, and all amenities were functional and well-maintained. Overall, the comfort, cleanliness, and value for money are outstanding. To my delight, I was upgraded to a deluxe suite on New Year’s Day, which felt like a dream gift. Special thanks to the front desk team, especially Xiao Lu, for such a thoughtful touch. Stepping into the room, my partner couldn’t stop saying ‘wow’—the panoramic view of Jinji Lake flooded the space with natural light, while the warm interior made it feel cozy and luxurious. The pool is perfect for both adults and kids, with great facilities and a relaxing atmosphere. And the private walkway? A photographer’s paradise—endless opportunities for stunning shots. The entire property feels brand new, with top-notch facilities. The fitness center is immaculate, with well-maintained equipment, and the indoor pool offers consistent temperature and humidity—ideal for a relaxing swim without the crowds. The front desk staff, Sawyer, was exceptionally friendly and professional, offering thoughtful travel tips that made our trip much smoother. From the location to the service, every detail was outstanding. This stay exceeded my expectations, and I’ll definitely be back.

Four Points by Sheraton Suzhou, Wuzhong

The hotel overall is excellent—comfortable rooms, great amenities, and friendly staff. While it’s a bit of a walk from the nearest subway station, it’s manageable and not a major issue. Breakfast was decent with a variety of options, but the coffee and tea were disappointing. The coffee was extremely weak—by far the weakest I’ve had in any hotel stay. The black tea tasted more like colored water than actual tea, and there were no fresh tea bags available for brewing. It really brought down the experience, especially since other aspects of the stay were so positive. That said, the room comfort, cleanliness, and service all exceeded expectations. Definitely worth staying again if they can upgrade the beverage offerings.

That was such a thoughtful touch! The room itself is spacious, and the bedding is incredibly comfortable—perfect for a restful night’s sleep. I originally booked without breakfast, but this unexpected upgrade made the experience even better. The overall value is outstanding. Suzhou is already a lovely city, but this hotel truly makes it stand out. I’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting!

Since it was Christmas Eve, they even surprised me with a festive apple—a small but thoughtful gesture that really made the stay special. The restaurant downstairs is bustling and packed with locals, offering a wide variety of dishes and excellent value for money. The food was fresh, flavorful, and diverse. Overall, this place offers incredible value and comfort. I’ll definitely be returning next time I’m in Suzhou.
