We stayed at Shanshui Hotel in Nanjing during the Lunar New Year holiday with our entire family, and it was one of the most enjoyable trips we’ve had. The city itself radiates warmth and charm, but the hotel truly made the experience unforgettable. Located just a 5-minute walk from the subway station, getting around was effortless—no need to worry about driving or parking fees, which can be crazy high here. The room was cozy and well-designed, with excellent soundproofing so we could sleep peacefully. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive—from check-in, they kindly advised us that Nanjing’s attractions are all within easy reach via public transit or taxi, making car rentals unnecessary. Breakfast was a highlight: a wide variety of delicious, fresh options, including their homemade salted duck, which was so good we even bought two to take home. Bonus points for the hotel’s unique atmosphere—being part of a provincial geological bureau, the lobby features beautiful mineral specimens and artisan crafts on display (and available for purchase!). Plus, right next door is the Geological Museum, perfect for kids and adults alike who love science and nature. It’s rare to find such a thoughtfully designed, family-friendly hotel with both comfort and educational value. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Nanjing.

Staying at Qi Hotel in Nanjing's Confucius Temple area was an absolute delight! The lobby is beautifully designed with a modern yet elegant touch—immediately setting a relaxing tone upon arrival. The room was surprisingly spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully laid out. I especially loved the separate wet/dry bathroom and the bathtub—perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring. Phoenix Jinghua Hotel

The room was really nice overall—light-filled and comfortable, which made the stay feel great. I’ll admit the soundproofing isn’t perfect, and the air conditioning unit does make a bit of noise, but honestly, we didn’t mind at all. We’d rather hear the AC hum than catch snippets of nearby conversations, so we kept it on. Neither of us are heavy sleepers, so some background noise doesn’t bother us. The staff were friendly and efficient from check-in to checkout. Plus, we got upgraded to a larger executive room—such a nice surprise! There’s also a complimentary breakfast and a well-equipped fitness center. And fun little detail: there are pigeons around the outdoor area that fly freely—watching them add a quirky, charming touch to the experience. This stay in Nanjing was an absolute surprise and a highlight of my trip! While the nearest subway station is a bit of a walk away, getting here from the high-speed rail station is super convenient with a quick taxi ride straight to the door. The area is packed with delicious local eats and vibrant atmosphere. Staff at reception were warm, efficient, and always ready to help. The room was spotless, well-maintained, and equipped with hygienic disposable amenities. I especially loved the bathtub—after a full day of sightseeing, soaking in hot water was pure relaxation. They even provide single-use bath covers upon request, which shows great attention to detail. The air conditioning runs quietly and the soundproofing is excellent—no noise from outside, so sleep quality was top-notch. Best of all? The price is incredibly reasonable for the quality and location. This place offers unbeatable value. We stayed at this hotel during our first night in Nanjing, and overall the experience was really positive. The location is perfect—just a short walk from Xinjiekou subway station, making it super convenient for exploring the city. We did have to wait a bit during check-in and check-out since there were quite a few guests, but the staff remained friendly and patient throughout. One minor issue was the hallway carpet, which had a slightly unpleasant odor due to the rain—nothing too serious, but noticeable. Our initial room was a corner room near the elevator, which we usually avoid because of potential noise and awkward layout. We mentioned our concern to the front desk, and the staff member handled it with great care and efficiency—she immediately helped us switch to another room without any hassle. Even though we originally planned to extend our stay, we ended up moving on the next day after noticing a price increase, which didn’t fit our budget. Still, the service, especially the willingness to accommodate guest needs, made a strong impression. I’d definitely recommend this hotel for its excellent hospitality and central location.

This hotel in Nanjing completely exceeded my expectations! The room was spacious and bright, with a thoughtful design that blends traditional Jinling charm with modern comfort. The bedding felt like clouds—so soft I slept through the night and woke up refreshed and energized. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, even offering personalized recommendations for nearby attractions and providing an umbrella during a sudden downpour—such a thoughtful touch. I especially loved the on-site tea lounge where I enjoyed a cup of Yuhua tea while gazing out at the scenic view of the Qinhuai River. The breakfast spread was outstanding—especially the duck blood vermicelli soup, which was rich, savory, and absolutely delicious. If you're visiting Nanjing, this is a must-stay. Exceptional service, great location, and unforgettable experience all in one.
