The lounge’s afternoon tea and dinner were exceptional: fresh ingredients, elegant presentation, and the evening drinks were unlimited, which was a real treat. Breakfast was a bit crowded, but the menu was varied and the food tasted great—though I missed trying the dan dan noodles this time (will definitely go back for that!). When checking out, I requested a late checkout, and although they could only accommodate a short extension due to high occupancy, they made every effort to help. Overall, the experience was outstanding—from service to amenities, every detail felt special. This is luxury done right, and I’d happily return again.

We drove from Beijing to Hainan and stopped by W Hotel Xi'an along the way—our mood went from low to high in just minutes. The moment we walked into the lobby, the clubby vibe was a bit overwhelming, but as soon as we stepped into our room with the stunning lake view stretching out before us, everything changed. The expansive sight instantly lifted our spirits. We’d specifically booked W Guangzhou for this trip because it coincided with the Guangzhou Marathon, and honestly, it exceeded all expectations. The location is unbeatable—right next to Guangdong Museum, Guangzhou Library, and Huacheng Square, with both the marathon start/finish line and packet pickup just a short walk away. The hotel’s design is bold and futuristic, with a vibrant, energetic atmosphere in the lobby that’s perfect for those who love modern urban style. Rooms are sleek, well-equipped, and feature top-quality bedding—super comfortable for a good night’s sleep. Dinner at the buffet was impressive: wide variety, fresh ingredients, and consistently high quality. But what truly stood out was the service—especially Clinton at reception. He greeted us with a warm smile, handled check-in smoothly, upgraded our room without hesitation, packed breakfast for us to take to the marathon, and even extended our checkout time when we returned late after the race. That kind of thoughtful hospitality made all the difference. This stay was unforgettable—not just for the luxury or location, but for the genuine care shown by the team. White Swan Hotel

Staying in the executive suite was an absolute delight. The room was spacious with a clear separation between the living and sleeping areas, offering a real sense of privacy. Everything was brand new and well-maintained—especially the bathroom with its efficient dry-wet separation and instant hot water. The executive lounge served excellent afternoon tea and evening snacks, both in quality and presentation. Despite being near the airport, we could hear planes overhead while walking outside, but inside the room, it was completely silent thanks to outstanding soundproofing. The view from the window was wide open, and natural light filled the entire space—really bright and welcoming. Attention to detail was top-notch, and the value for money truly exceeded expectations. The hidden gem was the small garden behind the hotel—lush greenery, peaceful and beautifully designed. Perfect for morning walks, post-lunch strolls, or relaxing in the evening. A small note: on our first morning, we had breakfast at the ground-floor restaurant. The staff welcomed us and asked what drinks we’d like, but then didn’t follow up with service. If they were busy, perhaps skipping the question would have made the experience smoother—just get the drinks to the table quickly instead. Overall, though, this stay was exceptional.
